There no longer is a Republican party.

As you can see from today’s vote for House Speaker, there is no longer a cohesive group called the republican party. I think that’s a good thing.

You have a small group of trumpish radicals, the Jim Jordan, marjorie Taylor, Green, Marjorie, Taylor, Greene, and Lauren Bobart types… and then you have what used to be called that the Republican Party. As you can see, they do not make up a majority.

Now, I do not like party politics, I think we would be better without parties, and I think our government was designed to work without parties. I do think it’s progress that the republican party is disintegrating. It well could be that a small group of Democrats will decide what republican become speaker of the house.

Wouldn't that be ironic? Too bad it couldn't be Liz Cheney. lol

Yes, they represent about 85% of the “party”.

Powerless would be the radicals. Weak would be the old guard. If these groups get rid of each other, IN CHARGE, would be the Democrats.

A lot of the repubs have decided they prefer being pussys like the democrats.

It appears we have three parties. The Democrats, the Republicans, and whatever you call Matt Gaetz group of 20 Congressmen.

You seem to be OK slurping semen leaked onto the floor at DNC events.

When is McCarthy going to start claiming that the election is rigged and that their is fraud?

There is good reason to favor the Democratic Party. Like it or not political parties are the vehicle to get legislation passed. Until we get ranked choice voting, a vote outside one of the major parties is pretty much wasted.

The Democratic Party is the only thing that can possibly challenge the power grab of the super-rich corruption and grifters of the Republican Party. Neither party is without faults. It's just that one is much worse than the other and in the course of American politics it is necessary to choose between the lessor of two weevils.

It is encouraging that most of the Republican Party wants to break away from extremism.

But it's obvious that without the extremists the Republican Party is not strong enough to match the Democrats.

That's a problem.

Yes, 100%, we have to work with the system we have, while trying to improve it. Right now, the Democratic party is slowly winning and taking power back from the chaos anti-America party. .
