There is Nothing in the Constitution that Limits the SC to Nine Justices.

With all due respect brother, I completely disagree.

The virtually all-white Republican Party is racist to its core. Any suggestion that we should pretend they aren't is not in the best interests of civilized people.

Frankly, I couldn't care less about right-wing resentment.

The KKK is essentially non-existent because people of conscience attacked them for what they are.

Neo-nazis and white supremacists are hiding in shadows because people attack them for what they are.

The culture war is not our doing .. but confronted by it, we should not shy away from the battle. In fact, we should take it to them.

This war is inevitable .. but it will only be fought by warriors.

I think that what is happening right now in the west is an emergency... the chameleon supremacists are organizing and seeking to take back power. We cannot afford to be alienating anyone right now in my view. People with problematic stereotyping can ultimately be educated I think...

In terms of total tax burden, there's not really a huge difference between the states. Mississippi, West Virginia, and Arkansas are all in the top 5. Illinois is 36th in terms of total tax burden, New York is 31st. But Illinois is probably the slowest of all blue states in terms of growth. Weird huh? Seems like it does not in fact make a giant difference.

The tax rates in any case are not hugely variant from one another. Moving from Texas (#50) to Vermont (#1) would gain you all of 4.5% for a normal person... most of the tax differences between states from the 10th to 40th on the list are less than 2%. Who gives a shit? Never once in my life have I ever taken into account the tax rate when deciding where to move. It's ridiculous. I moved to the place where I could get a job. That was the northeast. That's what most people do.

Taxes aren't the only issue but they are one. If you're nearing retirement would you want to live in a higher or lower tax area? That's one of the reasons the population of the NE has remained stable if not dropped. They have a much older population.

The high cost of living on the coasts and the NE is very real though. It's why we see such growth in places like Charlotte, Atlanta, Dallas, Denver and Houston. Abundant jobs and much lower cost of living.

Who cares what they do? Seriously?

They are marginalized and the American population is evolving away from them.

I see no redeeming value in a Trump voter or a racist.

For far too long democrats have been weak as doodoo in confronting the evil disease of racism.

The base isn't going to stand for the same weak-kneed politics of the past.
