There are five living U.S. presidents. None of them support Donald Trump

Thanks for the topic c9.

It's said that in a democracy, the people get the kind of government they deserve.

Should the experts (those of us that know Trump is unfit for the office) overrule the will of the people?

Or should we stick to the principle of the vote, and let them sink the nation, or possibly the human race?

We are a republic.... Most of the things that are real important we have no say in....

I could be wrong but IMHO we deserve better, much better, certainly better than choosing between the two ppl w/ the highest negatives of all time:palm:

Trump can't campaign. fvck the establishment -they got us here - it's no surprise they would support Clinton

Yea, it must be cause they are all "establishment", certainly couldn't be because trumpf is totally unfit to "rule" the country...

" trumpf is totally unfit to "rule" the country... " #22
Nominee / candidate Trump has a few good ideas, though some of them aren't viable.
U.S. President Bush (younger) spent some of his political capital on immigration reform. Problem is, he got squat for it.
There doesn't seem to be much persuasive argument against reform. The churn arises in synchronizing the effort, getting a viable legislative majority on the same page.
Will President Trump succeed at that? I doubt it. Senator Obama campaigned for president as a post-partisan. HE was willing to work (beyond party) for the good of the whole People. But Boehner & McConnell were not.
Trump is obviously an even more polarizing figure.
- Trump is a persistent insult to women.
- Trump has not endeared himself to Mexicans ("they're rapists" don't you know)
But Trump does seem to have a lock on the vote of White males without college degree.

Bottom line:
90% - 95% of what President Trump might undertake to do might be a positive influence on Washington DC. We could use a good shake-up.

BUT !!

It's the other 5% - 10% that should alarm us, & perhaps be the deal-breaker.
