I agree, so why don't dims nominate someone decent and respectable?
We will see but so far Trump has been amazingly successful in bringing all his opponents down to his level where he has the advantage, then crushes them. But I will admit, an avenatti would give Trump a run for his money.

My current theory is that the Dem candidates are sitting back and letting the GOP eat itself until the last minute but I have no proof.

I thought they were clapping at his humiliation. By the way, what was his next comment, I remember hearing it but I don't remember, something about the POTUS getting laughed at on the world stage fogged my memory.

I believe the comment that got the pity applause, was something along the lines of "Not the reaction I was expecting, but...."
