This is what I am talking about. Sometimes they do, sometimes the people who should be protecting them and teaching them not to lie, etc. coach them and tell them what to say. Our first reaction is to believe the kid, and that is understandable, but to say that there has never been a time a kid has lied about this is absurd.

I want to protect children, all of them, I wish this never happened to anybody. However much I wish that, it both happens and sometimes people are falsely accused even if you can't imagine why somebody lies about it it sometimes happens that they do.

Probably because you liked his work. He always seemed demented to me... which is probably has something to do with why I didn't doubt Mia when the story broke.

I don't agree, and even in America you are innocent until proved guilty. It was all investigated at the time and he was exonerated. It seems to me that what you are doing is exactly what you accuse others of with George Zimmerman. Maybe you have an ear witness that is willing to testify?
 
What's really messed up, with the accusations, is that we as adults want to believe that children are honest in what they say.
What's ruined it, is the times when parents or other adults teach and prompt the kid to lie.
It has created a air of cynicism and most adults don't want to be cynical, when it concerns kids.

This is a lie. Allen was never "exonerated". That is an outright lie.
 
The NYC judge accused Allen of paying off the psychiatrists. The prosecutor said there was probable cause but he wouldn't pursue because the victim was too fragile to put on the stand. The entire thing was a clusterfuck, I think the prosecutor wasn't supposed to say that publically Basically what seems to have happened was a lot of people knew Allen was guilty but couldn't find a way around the brick wall of his money, power, and unlimited attorneys. Some were so enraged by it they made public statements. He lost two custody cases.

It was a clusterfuck, but to ever claim he was exonerated...well that is provably false.

I guess this is just another situation of my being flabbergasted at how far this guy will go in excusing sex crimes, and how people will still take him seriously. But it's not about Tom, so whatever.

His claim is provably false though. That's just a fact.
