The White House is blasting House Republicans for setting an "unprecedented bar" in their new bill that gives $14.3 billion in aid to Israel.
House Republicans rolled out the 13-page bill on Monday, which would completely offset the foreign aid by rescinding the $14.3 billion from the Inflation Reduction Act passed last year. Specifically, the bill targets some of the $80 billion the package allocated toward the Internal Revenue Service for audits on wealthy individuals.
Fox News Digital exclusively obtained a White House memo penned by Deputy Press Secretary and Senior Communications Adviser Andrew Bates titled "House Republicans set an unprecedented bar for helping Israel defend itself – and other critical national security needs."
"Despite strong bipartisan agreement that the United States must support Israel as it defends itself after the worst terrorist attack in its history, House Republicans are engaging in a dangerous political stunt that for the first time in American history demands emergency national security funding be fully offset," Bates wrote in the memo. "Though the United States has delivered urgent defense funding to a wide range of allies over many years, this has never been a requirement."

...and that is because the republi'cans' have been defunding the agency for years making those complex cases, too resource intense to take on.
The republi'cans' want to do the same thing to the SEC, get rid of the already weakened Dodd Frank, get rid of the EPA for all the same reasons. When the agencies are weakened they do not have the resources to fight the rich and corporations and focus on smaller targets.
A local cop on the beat cannot go after a rich international crime ring. You need a big agency to do that. YOu gut the big agency and you ENSURE only the street level crime gets pursued.

Even if you believe that, it is still fact that in no way does getting rid of the FBI allow the local beat cop to go after International crime.
If you believe the agency needs better management, gutting their funding WILL NOT allow them to go after more high level crime. It, by default means they will have less capacity to do so.

The problem in trying to have a discussion with a Magat is they are dumb. You are dumb.
The same point remains, despite the DIFFERENCES in EPA, FBI, Local Police or IRS.
If you defund the local police stations 'White collar crime unit' or their 'Major crimes unit', and expect the remaining beat cops to do those time intensive duties, you will find far less of those pursued simply because the beat cop knows he does not have the resources to tie up all his time with those bigger cases.
What i say above is not specific to ANY AGENCY, and is a TRUISM for ALL of them.
That TRUISM is that as you weaken them, you make it easier for the rich and corporations to get away with abuse and crimes and they DO.

You demonstrate each time you speak you are simply incapable of comprehending a discussion.
You DO NOT disprove that getting rid of the FBI or White Collar crime units does not have any impact by pointing at specific examples.
Meaning... because Bernie Maddoff got away with his white collar crime for decades, and there are some doing what he does that will never get caught, does not mean the system is better off with no white collar crime unit.
If you proceed from 'we have some failures so scrap the entire system' you will only end up with MORE Bernie Maddoffs.
It is the threat of potentially being caught and being found a criminal that deters the vast majority of people who would contemplate such crimes. When you take that threat away (defund the agencies) and people know they will not get caught, more endulge.
Now again, i have little hope you can read the above and comprehend it and thus not resort to your 'whatabout' cries but those have no meaning here.
Because Epstein got away with things does not mean defunding every agency that can investigate child sex crime is the answer.

If you believe aid for Israel should be conditioned on a partisan issue, then you don't really support Israel. Which of course is true. To the question of does 'defunding the FBI/EPA/IRS, etc' and other agencies the republi'cans' have all targeted, somehow help stop pedophile rings, or other issues, that answer is clearly NO.
The Epstein situation DOES NOT get better in the future because we defund the agencies that investigate such crimes, since it failed with Epstein.

Defunding the IRS will allow for MORE rich and corporations to cheat. Defunding the FBI will allow for MORE Epsteins exploiting children. And so on and so on.
