The wealthy are a burden

Really? Picture this. There is a giant coal mine. And some guy comes and works hard and gets ahead. But rather then giving another a chance? He buys the entire coal mine. Now he makes money doing nothing. And if you want that coal, you have to pay top dollar. You can no longer extract it, and if you want to work for him, you can do it, but you receive 1/10 of the profit and he makes 9/10 doing absolutely nothing. The reason I cant do it myself is because they hoard the wealth.

Do you really think operating a coal mine would be something that could be described as "doing nothing"? I think we've found your problem. You have no idea what you're talking about. You fail to mention the operating costs and investment/risk of loss because you are fucking obviously clueless. LOL @ YOU

The wealthy say that the poor are a burden but if you really think about it? The rich are a burden on mankind. We work to maintain their wealth. When they take a loss, it is transferred down to the public via cost/taxes. That is how the rich remain rich. And the poor become poor.

If we were to remove all the wealthy that we have to pay to live? Our lives would be cheaper.

In capitalism, the people are like domesticated horses that pull that plow. Sure the horse gets a home and is fed and gets the occasional pat on the back, but the Farmer racks in the bulk of the fruits of the horses labor. Doing very little to no work himself.

It is the working man that bears the rich on their back. Not the other way around.

Do not believe the lie that the rich pays more taxes, because that is a gigantic lie.

John Lennon Working Class Hero Lyrics

As soon as you're born they make you feel small
By giving you no time instead of it all
Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all
A working class hero is something to be

They hurt you at home and they hit you at school
They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool
Till you're so ****ing crazy you can't follow their rules
A working class hero is something to be

When they've tortured and scared you for twenty-odd years
Then they expect you to pick a career
When you can't really function you're so full of fear
A working class hero is something to be

Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you're so clever and classless and free
But you're still ****ing peasants as far as I can see
A working class hero is something to be

There's room at the top they're telling you still
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill
If you want to be like the folks on the hill

A working class hero is something to be
If you want to be a hero well just follow me

Round and round in circles we go. Most right (correct) thinking people are pleased to carry their neighbour part of the way. It's one of the things that makes us human. We expect and usually find, that in turn our neighbour will carry us. We share the obligation to make ourselves less of a burden to others.
Some rich people do not see it that way (neither do some poor people). They see people as usable commodities the fruits of whose labour must be handed to the rich. Not all rich people are like that or, perhaps I should say not all rich people are like that to everyone. The poor who attempt to emulate them are just not 'smart' enough.
Ordinary people (the non rich) have some crazy ideas according to some rich people. They think there sould be level playing fields, for example. They think they have a right to self determination, to free speech, to the pursuit of happiness. The rich often do not believe that. They believe that the unarmed man is unarmed because he wishes to be killed (metaphor you gun lovers) so they kill him. No remorse. Simply give him what he wants.
They count their toys, these people. One billion, two billion, three billion, four billion, one yacht, two yachts, three yachts. They never have enough. They live to get ALL the toys and to kill all people who stand in their way.
The only way to beat them is to join them, but most people are born better than that ... or more stupid.

As long as the poor don't enter your gated community and swim in the pool; HUH!!

Ya, that's kind of his incentive to pay for the mine and the startup and paying you and finding buyers, that he can sit back and make money off it. Otherwise he wouldn't bother and neither would you.

oh yeah, naive. how the hell have I made it in my 45 years of life......./sarcasm.

dude, seriously. you and dune are barking up the wrong tree. the world does not and never will work the way you want it to.

Now you are grouping me with this retard? Fuck you STY, seriously.

The poor are very welcome. Its the brain dead yanks from Phoenix that are banned. Now piss off once again. How many times do I have to tell you? You are far too dumb for this forum. Go and watch ants in your garden or try to count the stars that shine.

In the time of feudalism, these idiots would be like "OH really, you don't like being a peasant? Go conquer yourself some, lazy asshole." Completely and totally no perspective, just shitheads who are a drain on humanity.

That's often what happened. Look at the HRE. And the Crusades.

Of course we're both being overly simplistic.

any reason noone else tried to do this? could it be shortsightedness? or laziness on your part like topspin suggested?

Yes, because those who are rich are rich because they work hard and deserve it, and because those who are poor are poor because they are lazy and are worthy of their poverty and suffering. The world is totally and entirely just, and God sits around and makes it this way. Are there any more Polyanna tales you would like to tell me, you naive simpleton? Any more ways in which we can sit around and play the glad game?

Your faith is touching. Really.

Gee, you seem to be backpedaling and trying to juggle at the same time; seeing as how that's exactly why you said you live in a "gated" community. :)

If the truth hurts, try lube the next time. :)

You really need to switch to better beer.

Well, then I bought a pack of Bud Light Lime. Real fancy.

Anyway, I generally only drink when I'm tired and have no Vyvanse. I've had school this week, so I've had to do without sleep a lot. So I've been drinking. On monday, I get another vyvanse scrip, so this is the last 12 pack I plan to buy. On monday, you will get the blessing of disturbingly long 5 AM posts by watermark until I run out of my scrip again. Man, what a life! I totally don't want to die*!

I've only drunk like, what? 5 nights in a row, and already I feel addicted to alcohol again. I get home and can't wait to obliterate the evening. Why do we have evenings? Preferably, we'd all just die after work. I don't ever want to wake up. I want to go to sleep and stay that way forever. I don't want anything to exist ever again.

*I want to die. Vyvanse is a shitty shitty drug. Drugs are stupid and should all be banned, and everyone who takes them should be executed.

I'm pretty lazy, WM. Does that mean I should magically become a billionaire with control over a large corporation?

This has got to be the most idiotic, uninformed, unintelligent, boneheaded argument I have ever heard.

First of all, which wealthy people are saying that the poor are a burden? I'm not seeing that. Got any names??? What I see is wealthy people paying 85-90% of all the taxes paid in America, every year, and the left demanding they "pay their fair share!" While 49% pay no income taxes at all, and are never DARE called a burden... (unless you can provide some fucking quotes and sources for this lie.)

Second... If you really believe the wealthy are a "burden" just keep instituting anti-rich policies, and they will eventually all leave this country and take their wealth with them. That should make you happy as a clam for a hot second. Until it sunk in to your pea-brain noodle, that rich people engaging in capitalism is what pays the bills and employs people. I don't know, maybe when you are sitting in a grass hut eating a bowl of creamed wheat, like all the poor people in Africa, you'll realize this... and maybe not?

Finally, I don't know where you get that tax dollars are used to pay back wealthy people who lost their money. We did have some "bailouts" but these were passed by a majority Democrat congress along with idiot republicans who said we had to do it, or the world would come to an end! In any event, the money went to pay the debts of the corporations, not wealthy individuals who lost money. The rich remain rich largely because they tend to be smart with money, and the poor remain poor because they lack the motivation to succeed. How are the poor to become rich if the rich people leave and take all their burdensome wealth? Where does the money come from, if there are no wealthy investors of financiers? The Magic Liberal Money Tree in DC?

In other conversations with you, it has always seemed you have the intellect of a 12~13 year old... I think I may have overestimated.

Why are we here, Dixie?
