The War on Prosperity

There is more opportunity in America today for entrepeneurship, free enterprise and becoming a millionaire with nothing more than an idea and hard work than there has been in any country, at any time in world history.

So, the charges that capitalism is being "dismantled" and that we are already one foot in the door of socialism are somewhat unfounded.

Case in point this can't spell Cajun who went to the worse high school in the state last in education did it by 47. If I can anyone here can. :good4u:

For months, we've had to hear how we're going to insure 30 million more Americans and it isn't going to cost us a dime, in fact, it is going to save us money and pay down the deficit!

Errr, no. The bill rather obviously raises some taxes slight more than is necessary than to pay for the bill, and so it results in a slightly reduced deficit.

No, I am afraid it isn't unfounded, it is very founded. Obama's very words are "we are going to fundamentally transform America!" That is precisely what he is doing, transforming us into a Marxist Socialist state. In one short year, he has managed to take governmental control of our financial sector, home mortgages, our leading manufacturing sector (GM), and our health care system. His "Democrat" (i.e.; Socialist) supporters in Congress, have made no secret of their Socialist Marxist plans, they come right out and tell you what they are doing and planning to do, they just don't want to call it "socialism" for some odd reason.

What?

No.

Uhm... YES!

Errr, no. The bill rather obviously raises some taxes slight more than is necessary than to pay for the bill, and so it results in a slightly reduced deficit.

Nope.... the bill, when all is said and done, will dramatically increase taxes across the board on every American, and will effectively destroy the health care system in the process. It is estimated this will cost us over $12 TRILLION through the next 30 years. The CBO has no idea how much cost is going to be involved as a result of passage, their numbers are solely based on projections presented by Democrats and some really "fuzzy math" regarding where the money is coming from. Stupid people who were fooled into thinking this monstrosity is 'budget neutral' or anywhere remotely close to it, are too profoundly retarded to even be allowed to vote, in my opinion.

They took control because the system wasn't working.

The health care system wasn't/isn't working.
The financial system was on the verge of collapse.
The manufacturing sector (GM) was going belly up.

Now are you able to understand why governments across the planet implemented universal medical? Now do you understand why countries have implemented social policies?

It wasn't some devious plan. The problem was the old system wasn't working.

Now do you understand?

Nope.... the bill, when all is said and done, will dramatically increase taxes across the board on every American,

I could go and get a list of the tax increases if you want me to. It's a very limited segment of the American public that these taxes effect. The CBO says that this bill will lower the deficit in the first decade and make it even lower in the second.

and will effectively destroy the health care system in the process.

It really doesn't even touch the actual system.

It is estimated this will cost us over $12 TRILLION through the next 30 years.

Wow!!??!?! Over 30 years!!!!!!

Jesus. Why not just tell me the statistics for how much it's going to cost over a millinenium? Do you have any idea how much the military is going to cost over thirty fucking years?

The CBO has no idea how much cost is going to be involved as a result of passage, their numbers are solely based on projections presented by Democrats and some really "fuzzy math" regarding where the money is coming from.

That's utterly retarded. The CBO is an independent nonpolitical organization. You aren't smarter than it. You're a retarded middle aged graphic designer who knows shit about the world.

Stupid people who were fooled into thinking this monstrosity is 'budget neutral' or anywhere remotely close to it, are too profoundly retarded to even be allowed to vote, in my opinion.

Do you even listen to the shit that comes out of your mouth?

Oh, I understand why cowardly sheep such as yourself, have historically embraced Socialist systems! It's much easier to sacrifice your freedom and be led around by your nose ring, than to take responsibility for yourself and your family. It's easier for you to become a slave to your master, the US Government, than to be diligent in demanding politicians represent the people who elected them. Why should you have to put forth any hard work or effort, when you can sit on your ass and let the government do it for you?

Pot meet Kettle. You don't give a flying shit about government responsibility, or you would have peeped up years ago. You're surprised by this latest disaster? Bullshit Jacko. This has been a long time coming, but you were busy on the sidelines writing love diatribes about Bush and the Republicans.

So put this shit in your pipe and smoke it. Be careful what you wish for fool.

Partisan idiots like you are 100% the reason we're in this mess. You gleefully let politicians speak for you, even when they're totally fucking you, and then, when your half of the duopoly is out of power, suddenly you pretend to care? Your stupid assed shell game is over for me. Over.

Next time, give a fuck when your party is in power. Check yourself fool.

I see nothing in your post except rage and anger. You have made NO point, you have offered NOTHING constructive, and you are simply flailing at me because I supported George W. Bush. How long is that hatred and vitriol going to continue, asshole? 20 more years? 40 more? Just how fucking long do you intent to sulk and brood over my support of Bush? Because here is the deal, Beefhead... no matter how pissed off you get yourself, no matter how much of a froth you work yourself into, and no matter how much you let the anger and resentment consume your life, there is absolutely nothing I can do about who I supported for president in 2000 and 2004.

YOUR fucking answer was to trash and bash Republicans and Bush because you are so caught up in some ideological libertarian philosophy, it just didn't fucking matter that a Marxist Socialist was elected president, and given a bulletproof Congress to implement his agenda! That was perfectly fine for you, as long as a fucking Republican didn't get elected! You are an idiot, a full-fledged moron of the worst order, and you richly deserve the Fascist authoritarian state you are going to get. Libertarian policies at least had a possible chance of seeing the light of day with Republicans in power, because there are some common principles, but it's too late for that now, your ideology is a forgotten one, relegated to the dust heap of history forever in the wake of Marxist Socialism, which YOU allowed to get into power. Be fucking proud of your moronic self!

As per usual you miss the point wholesale.

I understand that Bush is no longer in office. I understand the the Democrats enjoy all 3 houses. What i DON'T understand you blithering fool, is how you could stand by all these years, and cheerlead the construction of this launching pad for these clowns, and then feign anger when they get the realm!

YOU VOTED FOR THIS SHIT MORON! YOU were a goddamned cog int hte wheel. You are RESPONSIBLE FOOL! So quit whining. You cheerled this shit. You were a hard hat in the construction area. You helped build this.

So shut the fuck up with your righteous bullshit. You were part of the process all along, and continue to be to this day.

Why cry when you're part of what you're crying about?

I don't like to attack my sitting presidents much, be they Bush or Obama. While you will see me criticize Obama when it comes right down to it, because I disagree with him, you won't see much bashing from this corner. I voted for Bush in 2004, when I was 18 and in training for the Air Force, but I have since evolved my political philosophy, become less partisan and more RINO, and I pretty much stopped defending Bush during his last 1.5 years in office.

As such, I consider what Beefy has said to Dixie to be valid. I do tone done down my criticism of Obama's spending, not simply because I find it fantastical, inconceivable, and mindboggling, but because I feel that Bush and the GOP, whom I voted for, did not live up to the ideals they are supposed to represent, and fucked up on war and spending. My loathing of the Democratic Party notwithstanding, I have decreasing respect for the GOP as time drags by. Remember, Bush began the stimuli and bailout schemes that Obama continues to toy with, just as FDR's circle always credited Hoover with starting what they famously called the New Deal.

Well you and Beefy can sit sulking and brooding over Bush and the GOP, and how they messed up, and how they didn't live up to expectations, and how the war and spending were bad... whatever whiny bitchy complaint you have... and you two can watch our country go down the tubes before your very eyes. When you are trying to explain to your grandchildren why they live in a Socialist Communist country and we no longer have any real freedom, you can lament on your grand libertarian philosophies and principles you stood so staunchly defiant for, while the Socialists transformed us.

You two will undoubtedly sit on your ass again in 2012, and allow these Marxists to remain in power another 4 years, because you are so caught up in some idealistic notion that your 'perfect candidate' can be elected with 2% of the fucking vote! I like most libertarian ideas, but the fact of the matter is, we are a TWO PARTY country, one of the TWO parties is going to be in power, and you can wish, whine, opine, and philosophize all you like, that is the FACTS OF LIFE in the real world. I didn't support everything George W. Bush did as president, but here's a newsflash... I didn't support everything Ronald Fucking Reagan did as president! In fact, I can't say that I have ever voted for a president who I agreed with 100% of the time! I am pragmatic enough to realize that is an idealistic standard that isn't going to be met in the real world... oh, but in Libertarian La-La Land, you keep tapping your heels together wishing for something you will never realize.

Do you prefer to be led around by businesses like Enron who stole people's money? Or businesses like GM who sell you a car, guarantee to supply replacement parts for a certain number of years, then declare bankruptcy? Or doctors/hospitals who wait until you're sick and then charge whatever price they want to supply their services?

Are you suggesting a person with acute appendicitis or a broken leg should drive from hospital to hospital to get estimates? Is that your idea of taking responsibility?

Then there's the people who lost company pensions not to mention those who got ripped off by small businesses. That's another scam. This idea of LLC or companies that separate the business from the owners personal holdings.

Some dude opens a business, sells inferior products, uses the profits to pay his mortgage, then declares bankruptcy. The ripped off customer has no recourse while the dude is living in his house paid for by ripping the customer off.

They need the same laws as with drug dealers. Anything bought with drug sales is confiscated. The dude's house should be confiscated and sold to reimburse the customers.

Just for the record I'm part owner of a small business.

Why do you support a system that tolerates, if not encourages, ripping off people?

Check out this video. It's free so you can keep your money. http://video.pbs.org/video/1302794657/ I know you have a short attention span so start at 16:00 for two minutes.

Greenspan didn't want rules against fraud in the financial markets. He felt the marketplace would settle it. Well, we saw how the marketplace settled it, didn't we. Almost resulted in a complete financial meltdown. That was the idiotic belief of the Fed Chairman.

Change. It's all about change. We've seen the "no government involvement, invisible hand of the market" rip off individual citizens, the country and other countries.

Yes, I do trust the government a hell of a lot more than the typical businessman.

When you are trying to explain to your grandchildren why they live in a Socialist Communist country and we no longer have any real freedom, you can lament on your grand libertarian philosophies and principles you stood so staunchly defiant for, while the Socialists transformed us.

It won't be difficult to explain. People can show this video http://video.pbs.org/video/1302794657/ and explain to them there was a system in place that encouraged ripping off people.

They can tell of a time when people were denied medical care because they couldn't pay for it when every other industrialized country had medical plans. They can tell of a time when the money for people's pensions were given to company executives as the company was preparing for bankruptcy.

And they can tell of a time when people still supported such a corrupt system to the point they ranted on blogs and discussion boards.

Don't worry. The grandchildren will understand why change was necessary. What they may not understand is why some people were against change.
