I am heartened to see that a vast majority of Americans think that the billions of dollars that would be wasted on a wall...could be better spent on other things.

The wall is still the biggest campaign tool that the Reds have. It is a device for the election and a typical right wing fear tactic at work. If the Mexican rapists and murderers were pouring over the border, the people in border areas would have fled to safer grounds. Yet the vast majority of border denizens are against the wall. They have not left. Most of the border people are bilingual, also speaking spanish. Seems the farther away youi live from the wall, the more you fear the Latinos.
