Prove me wrong. I for one, think they need their boogie men, and scapegoats.
I think both Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnel have concluded that 'The Wall' is a gimmick to get votes.

Shep Smith and Chris Wallace were not kind to Trump and his speech. He’ll have to wait for Hannity and others to prop him up.I think both Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnel have concluded that 'The Wall' is a gimmick to get votes.

Did Larry and Rach tell you why they don't want enhanced border security that includes more physical barriers? Does it have anything to do with voters?
It was simply an opinion put forth by Lawrence and Rachel. Two years of Republicans controlling both Congress and the White House and ... nothing on 'The Wall' ever happened.

It's what you are told to think.
There were several repubs like McCain and Flake that were/are never Trumpers. Why do you ignore that truth and lie to millenials and manufacturer a fake lock-step repub party ?
And it takes 60 votes in the Senate for "control", Mr. Hipster.
Two years, seems like something could have been worked out? (Did you donate any money last night?)
It takes 60 votes in the Senate. Which word do you not understand?
"When Republicans controlled Congress, Democrats offered Trump a deal: the wall for legalizing the young undocumented immigrants known as DREAMers. “I’ll take a bucket, take bricks, and I’ll start building it myself,” said Rep. Luis Gutiérrez (D-IL). “We will dirty our hands in order for the DREAMers to have a clean future in America. Then why haven’t we settled this?” They didn’t settle it because Trump refused the deal."

Yep, Chucky was willing to spend $25 billion on the wall. Why did he change his mind about the morality of a wall?

Chucky refused to close the immigration loopholes as part of the deal. Why?
