The vast majority of gun owners in this country are law-abiding citizens

Would it have been "worth it" if your child or grandchild had been in that theatre?

i am not a silly prole, emotional gotchas have no effect on me. If my child died I would not want to ban guns, that I am certain of. Anymore than if a drunk driver hit my family, my first thought wouldn't be to ban cars.

the families of the dead will be glad to know their loved ones died for your poltical purposes?

somehow I dont think the two small children who had their mothers head blown open or the dead six year olds family would agree

well they are stupid then.

I don't give a shit about 12 random dead people. Gun rights are vastly more important.

and what you morons that talk about banning guns don't understand is that you wont be accomplishing ANYTHING. There are millions of guns already owned by people across this country. Any nutjob that wants to shoot up a theater will have no problem turning to a black market and finding everything he needs. Your draconian, anti-freedom, unamerican, and fascist solution only affects responsible gun owners and stand up citizens.

what are the gun laws in norway? I bet they are far more strict. That didn't stop that guy from shooting up that island with 100+ people on it did it? You fucking idiots. Banning guns or restricting ammo is not the solution. IT WONT FUCKING WORK.

It's a good thing that those who want to ban guns have been completely and utterly ineffective in every meaningful endeavour, thanks to the NRA and gun lobby, right Grind? You should be very happy, indeed.

I am very happy. I love the NRA. The NRA protects us from freedom grabbers like yourself.

Did strict gun regulation prevent norway's massive shoot-em-up rampage?

No. It didn't.

When you can cite where I've advocated 'grabbing freedom' or banning guns, your hyperbole might carry some weight.

everyone should be happy that a gun ban wasn't actually accomplished. the body count would have been in the millions.

please, explain.

are you saying that you believe all americans would simply hand in their guns when told to do so?

Jesus fucking christ. Where - anywhere on this board - have I said or even alluded to that? It is futile to have a broad discussion about this with you. You continue to demonstrate that you are INCAPABLE of anything beyond 'guns or no guns'.

There have been myriad posts on numerous threads, regarding the need to improve mental health care, tracking purchases, tightening up background checks, etc., etc., and yet you are either too stupid or too short-memory'd or too short-attention-spanned or too lizard-brained to interpret any of those discussions in any way other than 'NO GUNS'. If that's your interpretation, then there is no point in attempting a deeper discussion with you. NONE.

you implied ammo restriction was a reasonslbe choice. Again, the guy that shot up norway had lots of ammo in spite of their strict regulations.

Am I to take it you support ownership of assault weapons? My guess is you do not. So stop trying to stall the conversation and instead, be honest about your beliefs.

I asked a question to give you the opportunity to clarify your statement. that is all. you going off the wall because of that says alot more about your irrationality than anything else.

You can 'take it' any way you choose. You will, anyway. You're a gun nut. There is no reasoning with gun nuts. It's all or nothing with you guys. Fine with me. Your rights are the direct reason for the Colorado shoot-up. As long as we are willing to allow the NRA, gun lobby and its zealots to define freedom to include whacko's rights to shoot up movie theaters, then shot-up movie theaters is what we'll get. And you're fine with that. IN fact, it is well worth it to you. The majority of the country is in agreement with you and its representatives in government have whored themselves to the money behind that thinking. Win/win for the gun nuts. :)

I didn't go off the wall. Your response to every reasoned, solution-seeking statement projects 'guns/no guns'. Clarification is and has been completely lost on you. I'm done wasting keystrokes with you about it.

nowhere in the constitution does it give anyone the right to commit mass murder. your bias and immature emotionalism is confusing you.

fine, but understand that I don't consider it 'reason' to surrender any more of my freedom.

by not committing mass murder with my weapons, i'm being responsible. see? no consequences necessary.

Wrong. You live in the same society where mass murder is committed with 'legally obtained' weapons, compliments of the gun rights and the proliferation of guns. It's the 'rights' that facilitated the mass murder.
