The Unmentionable

I've been pretty amazed that the only time Climate Change is ever discussed on this board, pretty much, it's when our resident oil schill Tom, or some other idiot denier, posts a bunch of bs "Debunking" (LOL) the looming planetary disaster. It's especially interesting to me that our young posters, those who are 20 something or younger, never talk about it. It will change their lives in ways they cannot even yet imagine, yet total silence as they natter on about gun rights and other bullshit. Even our murderous drone policy pales in comparison...after all, climate change is actually going to kill most of the people we are bombing anyway. The body count cannot compate. This is planetary disaster coming, and it's coming soon. Of course we see it already, it's here, but it's going to get so much worse.

Very informative article. Remember, it doesn't matter if SF or tinfoil or the oil schill Tom don't "believe" in it. It doesn't require the belief of idiots...or of anyone. It's here. If you're in your 20's or younger it's going to fuck up your life. In fact, if you're anywhere younger than 65 it's probably going to fuck up your life.

Well, I am away for a four day weekend, enjoy! :)

I agree. What's even weirder is when it is made into a quasi-religious issue. Christians seem to be the loudest deniers of all.

Who cares about our fragile planet; it's all going to fry when Jesus comes back anyway, they say.

I was never fat, much less obese!
Your attack on fossil fuels is as retarded as me saying obese 300 lb people should pay two airline tickets!

many fat people have medical and/or psychological problems. i had both and have spent a large part of life suffering from both. However, twice in my life i lost over 100 pounds, unfortunately i found them again. now i am shedding weight. also, i do not need two seats in an aircraft, just more leg room. when i was heavier, i flew first class in order to have enough room. these days i would prefer to take a train rather than fly. do you drive and if so what and do you fly rather than take a train?

just how long do you think that fossil fuels will last at the rate of growth of the world population and demand for fossil fuel based energy?

as for fat, some people are fat heads...

Study WWII and tell me oil is not critically important.
Flying is 7x more polluting than driving!
Econazi's bother me, especially fat ass blow hard ones driving up my insurance rates!
Ever exercise?

yes, although it is difficult. i have arthritis in both knees, one shoulder and one hip and will likely require knee replacements.

as for my weight problem, i have shed 150 pounds so far and plan on shedding about 90 more pounds at which time i will require surgery to rid myself of the last ten to twenty pounds.

CO2 levels are not relevant SimpleFreak?

*sigh*

CO2 as the driving force for warming temps is what has been shown to be wrong in the computer models. The increase of CO2 on his chart does not mean the climate has changed as much or in correlation with it. So his response with that chart was irrelevant to my comment he quoted.

But the models haven't been shown to be wrong.

DH I feel bad that I put this up here just before leaving for the long weekend and you ended up having to deal with the ensuing predicatable bullshit. You are amazing though.

You better not be flying darla!

Dude...back on the post about the EV-1, I asked you a question about air travel...I.don't remember word.for word...but basically the gist was that you can't simply compare emissions from an airliner to that of a car. You'd have to divide the emissions by the number of.people on the plane and compare it to the equivalent amount of cars traveling the same distance...I have to wonder how much of a difference there actually is...I'm sure there is, but is it that great to negate the idea of air travel?

Umm, yes. Your question is almost funny, but not quite.
Air travel is unbelievably inefficient.

It is a great convieniece, but wouldn't be green in any fashion even if it burned only renewable fuel (since it is so wasteful).
