I haven't given up at all. I happen to believe the GOP can sell it's message to all Americans, it just has to have the desire too. Within California yeah, there's not a whole lot of hope of things changing any time soon.

I dont think it matters though. Neither party wants the undesirables to have houses next to its donors. They just want the undesirables to show up once every 4 years to put them in power

But loosing zoning laws would be "deregulation" which would be "savage" right?

The ONLY thing that can save California is if all the liberals infesting San Fran, Los Angeles and Sacramento died.

I do think they should pass a law to apportion their electoral votes based on the % of votes by their citizens. Handing Democrats 55 electoral votes every Presidential election is just moronic and makes voting there a joke. But as long as the left controls Sacramento, expect more regulations, more laws limiting freedom and more taxes.
