The Ultimate Goal of Democrats is finally being realized

Wtf, no evidence!!

How have public welfare expenditures changed over time?

From 1977 to 2020, in 2020 inflation-adjusted dollars, state and local government spending on public welfare increased from $147 billion to $791 billion (437 percent increase). This was the largest spending growth of any major expenditure program over this period.

Aw look, lil Tommy found some statistics! What a good boy!

Unfortunately for you, we're talking about the Biden administration and work force participation since 2020. If, as the OP incorrectly claims, able-bodied working-age ppl are just opting out of working, there would be more evidence -- increased usage of govt. benefits other than retirement benefits, for one. There isn't.

As is your habit, you lose again. :rofl2:

It's extraordinary how a 70 year old woman behaves like a 16 year old, you should at least say neena neena as well!!

Yet food stamp and welfare rolls are not commensurately higher, so what's your point? If they are able to get by w/o working, why do you care? Maybe their partner makes enough to allow them to stay home and take care of their kids. Maybe they saved enough to retire early.

Then again, your source is Fox so who knows what half-truths and bullshit lies within. Let's look at an actual credible source, the govt. agency charged with tracking this stuff. Hmm. Looks like the participation rate is almost back up to pre-pandemic levels.

there is a spiritual demonic nihilism at work in the world right now.

one has to be paying attention, they can't be stupid fucks like you
Is that how you do it? Isn't Arbie a welfare queen like you?
It's funny to live inside your head, coward
LOL Funnier is how you knew about an obscure comment that didn't mention you by name and was made to another "member" last week.

Do you always read all of my posts, RB 60, or do you only notice the ones made to "Stringfellow Hawk", a dimwitted dumbass much like yourself? Are you brothers?

America's low labor participation rate 'a social and economic disaster,' experts warn

Economists are sounding the alarm over millions of would-be workers refusing to return

By now it's common knowledge that the U.S. saw an unprecedented drop in labor participation at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 as health concerns, lockdowns and stimulus payments caused tens of millions to abandon or forfeit their jobs.

But three years later, millions still haven't returned – including many who quit in the middle of their prime working years – and some economists are sounding the alarm that so many capable, would-be earners remain out of the workforce.

When the Labor Department reported last month that unemployment dropped to 3.4% in January, the lowest level in more than 50 years, not all experts were celebrating.

Democrats love a dependent society!

Yep it isn't just the unemployment rate it is the people of working age that refuse to work. It's underemployment.

You have to be looking for work and not turn it down to qualify for unemployment. You also do not qualify for welfare, which has a limited time span.

From you own link, thank you Obama

A large factor influencing state and local public welfare spending in 2020 is Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Following a 2012 Supreme Court decision, states were given the choice to either expand Medicaid coverage with new federal funding or retain pre-ACA eligibility levels.

Blue states buying votes, again from your link:

As such, while state and local governments spent $2,387 per capita nationally on public welfare in 2020, per capita spending ranged from $1,093 in Connecticut to $4,119 in New York. The District of Columbia’s per capita spending was $6,367.3

Other states with high per capita public welfare spending in 2020 included Alaska ($3,729), Massachusetts ($3,657), and New Mexico ($3,488). After Connecticut, the lowest per capita spending was in Georgia ($1,285), South Dakota ($1,391), Florida ($1,421), and Utah ($1,465).
