This is not a "local war." Putin is on par w/ Hitler, Stalin & Pol Pot. The amount of human suffering caused by this one man's myopic vision is incomprehensible, and he needs to be stopped. Now.

The good men & women of the world are obligated to take a stand at times like this. Turning a blind eye is simply not acceptable.

Putin doesn't come close to Hitler, Stalin, or Pol Pot for brutality. By comparison he's a rank amateur. The Ukraine conflict is local and between Ukraine and Russia. That's it. Neither is exporting that war elsewhere.

We can only hope that it is. Think about it, the Spanish Civil War was seen as its generation defining war, before WWII easily replaced it. Had we stood up against fascism in the Spanish Civil War, the fascists would not have been brave enough to have started WWII. The world let the Spanish Republic collapse, and so the Spanish Civil War was not its generation's defining war.

The whole world is watching Ukraine and seeing if it can stand. If it cannot, evil around the world will think they too can invade weaker countries. In that way, it is very much not a local conflict.
