I found it hard to believe that beer was so much, but he insisted.

I guess we shouldn't complain over here so much. It could be worse.

Well, there has to be some sort of reaction?

Maybe the business can absorb the cost, but that is unlikely?

Maybe they can pass the higher expense onto its consumers, but that could make them uncompetitive and/or reduce demand?

Maybe they lay people off and do more with less?

Or maybe they just go out back to the money tree and give it a good shake?
