The Truth

Interview with the author of fake news in the Washington Post. It validates what any rational observer has concluded. How gullible Trump supporters are with no intellectual curiosity nor respect for the truth. This forum is merely a microcosm of that truth. Here's one excerpt:

"Honestly, people are definitely dumber. They just keep passing stuff around. Nobody fact-checks anything — I mean, that’s how Trump got elected. He just said whatever he wanted, and people believed everything, and when the things he said turned out not to be true, people didn’t care because they’d already accepted it. It’s real scary. I’ve never seen anything like it."

coming from WaPo -one of the most biased anti-Trump online sites out there..this is hilarious!

Don't just go after the source. What are your thoughts on the conclusion?

I'd never describe an entire group of 10's of millions of voters as "stupid." But from what I have seen, Trump's more hardcore supporters are definitely some that I would ascribe "gullible" to, and even Trump has insinuated that w/ his comment about being able to shoot someone and not lose support.

A lot was made of Hillary's dishonesty during the campaign, but Trump is a proven liar, and he has all of the traits of the classic con man. Even prominent Republican politicians described him as such. I don't think he has any conviction at all; he's a "say anything" politician. Anyone who believed anything he said with confidence is deluding themselves, imo.

well aside from your editorializing about Trump (andI won't editorialize about Hillary supporters) the guy who did the fake news does show we have many partisan lemmings out there.

one problem in my opinion is there is NO GO TO source for anything anymore -not even networks news.
While they my not publish slant - they do pick and choose which parts of a story they wanna report.

Which is why I always multi-source ( unless too lazy to do so) and find discussing politics to be helpful

It's a fucking INTERVIEW. With the author of these fake news sources relying on the gullibility and ignorance of people like Trump supporters. He's correct. I see it in every forum thatI've been on.

[h=1]WIKILEAKS RELEASE : Democrats Actively Work to Keep Voters Dumb and “Compliant”[/h] Breaking News By Amy Moreno November 8, 2016
Early November, Wikileaks dropped another batch of emails and documents from Clinton campaign chair, John Podesta.
We’ve learned that Hillary’s camp is aware that she lies excessively (and they wish she’d stop), that Hillary committed a felony by requesting email headers be stripped and emails sent “non-secure,” that Chelsea is a “spoiled brat” who lacks “life focus,” and that privately Bill and Hillary do not support gay marriage.
We also learned that Bill Clinton drove a female COO of the Clinton Foundation to become “suicidal,” and that Hillary was given the debate answers prior to debating Bernie Sanders.
Now we’re learning that Democrats are actively working to keep voters dumb and compliant.
This email appears to reference Bernie supporters, as a source of concern and Trump “Deplorables” as a source of provocation for the problematic rebellious spirit that must be squashed.
Really scary stuff. (LINK)

A new email released as part of the Wikileaks Podesta dump features Clinton ally Brent Budowsky accusing Hillary operative David Brock of having a plan that relied upon black voters being “stupid”.

The email, sent to Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and another Clinton ally CEO Roy Spence, centers around a discussion of a Bernie Sanders campaign ad which featured “many black faces”.Back in January, Clinton operative David Brock caused consternation within the campaign when he publicly claimed that Bernie Sanders didn’t care about black people.Budowsky is not impressed with Brock’s outburst, writing in the email, “Brock makes the cardinal mistake of those who bring politics into disrepute with voters. He tells a lie that people will know is a lie, and insults the intelligence of black voters with a kind of elitist racism that Bill and Hillary Clinton should not be seen with.”“I guess Brock’s plan is that black voters are stupid and will not watch the ad and believe his lie,” writes Budowsky.

A new email released by Wikileaks as part of the Podesta dump features Hillary ally Wendy Bronfein advising Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta on how to reach “f**king dumb” young people.Marketing executive Bronfein tells Podesta that Clinton “may not be the best face” to attract younger voters and that she needs to utilize “trending figures” as par of an “infusion to pull younger voters” because “that’s the crap that young people pay attention to”.

Bronfein goes on to state, “It’s f**king dumb but being “cool” counts for more than it maybe should.”
She references Bill Clinton’s saxophone playing as an example of this before asserting, “I hate to generalize a generation but by social media nature, they “follow”. So if someone they identify as cool endorses – they will likely fall in line with that candidate.”
