The true intent of the impeachment......

They ‘won’ an election with a shadow campaign designed to guide public opinion through manipulating the media and literally burying stories that might be harmful to their placeholder candidate. Manipulating state voting laws in ways that were probably unconstitutional and some other ‘novel’ voting regulations that amounted to non-regulations.

They even bragged about it.

“It was all very, very strange,” Trump said on Dec. 2. “Within days after the election, we witnessed an orchestrated effort to anoint the winner, even while many key states were still being counted.”

In a way, Trump was right.

There was a conspiracy unfolding behind the scenes, one that both curtailed protests and coordinated the resistance from CEOs.

Both surprises were the result of an informal alliance between left-wing activists and business titans.

The pact was formalized in a terse, little-noticed joint statement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and AFL-CIO published on Election Day.

Both sides would come to see it as a sort of implicit bargain–inspired by the summer’s massive, sometimes destructive racial-justice protests–in which the forces of labor came together with the forces of capital. Though much of this activity took place on the left, it was separate from the Biden campaign.

Their work touched every aspect of the election. They got states to change voting systems and laws and helped secure hundreds of millions in public and private funding.

Says Ian Bassin, co-founder of Protect Democracy, a nonpartisan rule-of-law advocacy group. “It’s massively important for the country to understand that it didn’t happen accidentally. The system didn’t work magically. Democracy is not self-executing.”

That’s why the participants want the secret history of the 2020 election told, even though it sounds like a paranoid fever dream–a well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information.

Shocking, now we got a another right wing conspiracy, getting so one needs a scorecard to keep track of them all, as I've said before, is it any wonder prior Top 40 disc jockeys turned themselves into millionaires preying on conservatives

It appears they never get tired of making fools of themselves. I guess if you have no shame and no dignity, humiliation isn't something that concerns you.

I don't recall any DEMOCRATS screaming to impeach these elected officials.

January 31, 2017: Former VP candidate, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), calls on DEMOCRATS to “fight in the streets”
August 18, 2017: DEMOCRAT State Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal calls for Trump to be “assassinated”
March 19, 2018: DEMOCRAT Congressman Tom Suozzi encourages armed rebellion
June 14, 2018: DEMOCRAT Senator Nancy Pelosi asks why there ‘aren’t uprisings’ across the nation; muses ‘maybe there will be’
June 25, 2018: DEMOCRAT Sen. Cory Booker calls on mobs to harass Trump officials over immigration policies
July 16, 2018: DEMOCRAT Rep. Steve Cohen says “Where are our military folks? The Commander in Chief is in the hands of our enemy!”

Returning to the impeachment trial, manager Madeleine Dean offered an analysis of Donald Trump’s speech to supporters on January 6, shortly before the Capitol was stormed.

Dean noted that Trump made only one reference to remaining peaceful in the speech, while he made 20 references to “fight” or “fighting”.

“In a speech spanning 11,000 words - yes, we did check - that was the one time, the only time President Trump used the word peaceful,” the impeachment manager said.

Dean quoted Trump telling his supporters that they must “fight like hell or you’re not going to have a country anymore”.

“There was only one fight left, and it was a mile up the road,” Dean said.

STACEY ABRAMS HASN'T CONCEDED GEORGIA

Nope. That's not it at all.

I think it's kind of cute that there are still a few clinging to "massive voter fraud", though.

Why doesn’t Biden call for a full investigation of election irregularities?

No worries, right? Great opportunity to show some leadership and it would comport with his unity message.

What happens when a splinter group breaks off from the consensus that we can trust an election?

The aftermath of the Bush-Kerry race offers one potential answer. And for anyone hoping that Trump’s followers will quietly fold themselves back into the system, the 2004 experience suggests otherwise. The splinter is still out there.

Over the 16 years that followed the 2004 election, candidates have won and conceded; presidents have been inaugurated.

But the loosely defined movement that launched back then has lived on. Most of its members are left-wing. They’ve come to define their cause not around John Kerry’s "rightful presidency", but around the idea of election integrity.

Some are fixated on voter suppression; some subscribe to conspiracies about the manipulation of voting machines.

What they share is a conviction that the 2004 election was a sham, and that it exposed a sweeping, anti-democratic cabal.

Jonathan Simon, a onetime pollster-turned-lawyer-turned-chiropractor, summed up the prevailing view at a congressional hearing after the 2004 vote: “What we’re dealing with here, although the formality is all in place, is a stuffed animal, not a real animal—a taxidermic model of democracy.”

And many of them still believe that. Their continued commitment to the idea even today reveals that, once sown, doubt in the democratic process is difficult to dispel. Rather than recede with age, in many cases these 2004 skeptics’ concerns only deepened.
