The States in America Where Incomes Grow Faster

What does it cost to live in liberal Democrat states like California. My wife likes to watch TV shows like Flip or Flop where they buy homes and fix them up and resale them. We chuckle at the high prices people pay for dumps in California.

Mine doesn't want me to watch them because I keep pointing out all the building code violations they make and do...

I always wanted to live in a 3 million dollar home. I do but it just isn't in California.

Exactly. One simply cannot compare dollars to dollars and say one making say $70K is better off than someone making $35K. It’s all about location, location, location.

Sometimes I have trouble discerning whether he's lying again, or just an absolute moron?

To my knowledge, the Wall Street Journal is a middle of the road A-political source.

Now it does have an overall Wall Street perspective, and not necessarily a Main Street perspective.

I just also believe that OPie, left out the parts that did not play into his underhanded narrative.

What a rube, people move out and move into NYC all the time, it is the cultural and financial capital, the best medical care and universities

Unlike jesusland NYC isn't monochrome land , has people from all over the world

New York City is a symbol of diversity and multiculturalism known to all. Naturally with New York's international status comes a great lingual diversity with over 600 different languages spoken in the metropolitan area.

When people do move to other parts of the country they bring their politics with them :)

A report by the U.S. Census Bureau released Thursday estimated more than 468,200 residents left New York City between April 2020 and July 2022, accounting for a 5.3% decrease in the city's population. The largest loss came between 2020 and 2021 when the population declined by just over 281,000

Go read the article for yourself Gomer.

Interesting that fox and it's HQ are located in NYC and not weasel rectum Texas

I just want to remind you that Texas is the most Gerrymandered state in the Union, and it is just the weasel rectums that are in charge of the Gerrymandering.

There are more Democrats in this state than Republicans, but because of the crazy Gerrymandering, the Democrats votes do not actually count in this state- and many Democrats do not even vote because of this.

Thanks!

If it was an opinion piece, WSJ opinion leans hard/middle Right, Typically pro business.

I do agree, but that shouldn't affect the Senate. Cruz eeks out wins each election, which bolsters your point about non interest.

This OP, like Tinker, makes ridiculous statements and then doubles/triples down until backed into a corner.

Then they both flee.

Tinker thought she had definitive proof re. WMD in Iraq, but linked to an article that directly disproved her claim.

Because neither of them ever read their own links. They just look for headlines that sound like something that proves a point.

Exlax is trying to credit trump with Obama's record low black unemployment.

Still waiting for that graph.

President Biden will never admit it, but he has Republican-led states to thank for the resilient U.S. economy and labor market. Witness how an earnings surge in right-leaning states is helping compensate for sluggish growth in progressive ones.

New state personal income data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis highlights how aggregate worker and proprietor earnings in red states grew significantly more in the last year than in the blues. The disparity owes to GOP-led states adding more jobs, including in higher-paying industries like tech and finance, along with faster-growing wages.

Earnings nationwide rose 5.4% on average between the first quarters of 2022 and 2023, but much less in New York (2.6%), Indiana (2.6%), California (2.9%), Connecticut (3.4%), Rhode Island (3.6%), Maryland (4%), New Jersey (4.3%), Oregon (4.5%) and Illinois (4.6%). Apart from Indiana, these states are run by Democrats—and most have been for years. They boast high taxes and a high cost of living, which along with Covid lockdowns spurred increased out-migration during the pandemic.

Meanwhile, earnings in the same period surged in North Dakota (9.7%), New Mexico (9.6%), Nevada (9.1%), Florida (9.1%), Nebraska (8.6%), Hawaii (8%), South Carolina (8%), Alaska (7.9%) and Texas (7.7%)

How to explain this? California suffered from tech layoffs. Hawaii, Florida and Nevada benefited from a tourism resurgence after Covid’s Omicron wave ebbed. Higher oil and gas prices and production boosted earnings in New Mexico, North Dakota and Alaska, though less so in Texas, which has a more diverse economy.......

California and New York are dragging the country down and Texas and Florida are lifting it up. This shows that progressive Democrat ideas are hurting the country. Gavin Newsome should run his state better before he even thinks about trying to run the country.

Let’s see. Places I would NEVER want to live:

North Dakota (9.7%), New Mexico (9.6%), Nevada (9.1%), Florida (9.1%), Nebraska (8.6%), Hawaii (8%), South Carolina (8%), Alaska (7.9%) and Texas (7.7%)

Cruz won by 2.6% and was out spent by 1.5 to 1. That isn't eeking out an election moron.

And several of the hosts complain about hating NYC. Did you notice Alvin Bragg admitted he was afraid on the subway? If NYC is such a paradise why don't you still live there and why is it losing population?

What Went Wrong with New York’s Redistricting
New York was so Gerrymandered by the Democrat legislature that the (D) court had to draw the map. The Democrats are STILL whining about it.

When you start with a minimum level income it doesn’t take much to raise the State average
