Not really. I've spent the vast majority of my life living out of a suitcase or boxes. I was a military dependent who lived in over 18 different homes and went to 11 different schools before graduating HS. After college I was active military and continued the pattern and included 3.5 foreign deployments. As an airline pilot for 28 years, I spent 3-nights a week, 48 weeks a year in a hotel. When I retired, I was determined to make up for lost time sitting on my ass at home. Now I'm catching up on entire seasons of TV shows I liked but missed. You can tell when I'm watching TV because I'm also online. Occasionally my wife will smirk at me when I have the laptop on one side, an iPad with the game STFC on the other and the TV playing in front of me.If it were actually my choice, Oom, I'd break this ridiculous JPP habit altogether.
And so, I somewhat suspect, would you.
I wish that I had the energy to do more productive things with my remaining time
but I didn't pace myself
and wore myself out fighting for the proletariat.
At least I'll die with a clear conscience--assuming free will actually does turn out to be real.![]()
