Ive debated even posting this in here since last Sunday But in the end decided to go forward with it. Going to give it to you in Bullet points.

Smaller sized town, only two theaters, one a somewhat large multiplex which is where we went. Walked up to counter to get our tix and munchies. Early 20's girl served us. Obvious Lesbian/ nose ring type. As soon as we said 2 for Sound of Freedom she sort of smirked and turned to her friend with a sly little grin. We both, wife and I, thought that was pretty weird but quickly blew it off and thought no more about it. Get to our seats, movie starts,.....CANT FRICKING HEAR IT! Movies are ALWAYS loud. This was like trying to hear someone literally whispering. Several people went up and complained, including us. We were told they would look into it...:rolleyes: NOTHING was done. Even stepped into other theaters in the plex,...their sound was all normal. WTF!

Most ironic part is on the way there I was telling my wife that there have been reports from all over the country that curious things like this had been happening making it hard to watch the movie. We both agreed that it would never happen here in small town middle America. WE WERE WRONG. Normally,.....I wouldnt have thought much of it and just chalked it all up to a bitchy young underpaid worker and some honest technical difficulties but after hearing so many reports from all over the country with the same kind of things happening now Im not so sure. Think what you will,... but thats exactly what happened. Between the girls reaction, the no sound, and them doing NOTHING to correct the situation it DOES look pretty fishy.

The movie has excellent ratings and is doing well at the box office: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7599146/ I've seen no reports of problems other than from you.

I suspect the problems you had with the teen workers at your local bijou is your personality, Stone. Do you and your wife go to the movie in cammies and face paint? Did you loudly talk about "woke", "Lesbians" and "fucking faggots"? "Worthless bitches"?

To be fair here, a theater doesn't need to show any movie it doesn't want to, it get's to choose them and they are extremely expensive to get.

The theater actually loses money on them which they have to make up for with concessions.

So it wasn't the actual theater that did this, if it did happen it was probably an employee controlling the speaker system, either way, a manager should have dealt with it.

I went to a movie once where the same thing happened, Paranormal Activity I believe and they said they couldn't fix it so said we could get a free ticket to another show or a refund.

Theaters are not going to be showing movies they can't profit from and sabotaging them will be them losing money.

I suggest you give corporate a quick little call and let them know.

Agreed. Stone is a known liar, confessed adulterer and well known to sexually harass his employees. I never trust a word he says.

The move is well rated and doing well at the box office. I look forward to seeing it when it comes out on Netflix.

We now have a movie conspiracy that spreads across the country to prove "they" (the regime, deep state, communists, leftists, George Soros...) are trying to save the hearing of right-wingers.

I'll skip it, sounds too depressing.

I'm thankful for what the guy did but I don't really need to see all the details.
 
I’d like to see it, it sounds much better than Barbie. The Director is no more of a liar than most Hollywood directors.

There are lots of hysterical housewives, who believe, because their church told them so, that their daughters are likely to be kidnapped on American streets and sold into sex trade. The church raises tons of money on that lie, but I do believe there is a real problem in other countries.

There are certain types of mental illness that create a perception in the brain that people are whispering bad things about you, talking bad behind your back, and just a general sense of clinical paranoia that people are "out to get you".

Stone has self-esteem issues. He's as big as a tank, but also the "baby" of the family. He'll never be a good as his brothers not because he is unable but because he is too lazy to try. He was born with a silver spoon and has been riding it all of his life. His father pushed him to join the Army to make a man out of him. Stone joined but he had a short, lackluster career and went right back to riding Daddy's and his brother's coattails. Sad, but his choice. The whole "free will" thing.

It's a "smash" hit. I fail to see where there are problems with it. Child trafficking is a global problem and the movie is fact-based...although all movies like this are cramming years of events into about two hours. "Black Hawk Down" and "All the President's Men" are two examples.

Actually, Oom, I'm obviously no fan of the Stoner, but I can say this.

I have no problem with exploiting parents who drag us onto this stupid planet
with our not even getting a vote on the matter.

I certainly exploited mine.
I fully expected my offspring to get what they could from me as well.

Isn't that what they mean by "the circle of life?"
