I am sure we could find cuts in DOD although I wouldn't cut it entirely. National defense is the one thing the US Constitution authorizes. But I would cut all foreign aid and close all of our embassies in the world as well as bring home every last soldier in every foreign country.

Without economic mobility our tax base will deteriorate and taxes will have to increase on the wealthiest. It's not young people's fault our economy sucks and they will remain poor until it recovers.
However, my prediction is that you will die of a heart attack when one of your male relatives becomes engaged to a black man. Your heirs will then liquidate your old coins for less than you paid.

We will not adjust SS and Medicare in any meaningful way for the same reason we haven't been able to do it in the past. People talk about it in the abstract. But, when they think about their own personal lives they go "FUCK NO! DON'T TOUCH IT!". Secondly, it would take a politician of unusual capability to overcome the onslaught. People think that who is President matters. It does not. Doesn't matter if it is OWEbama, MIttster, Gary Johnson or Ron Paul. They still have to deal with Congress and no Congressman is going to slit their own throat. They will let it collapse first and protect the political class among all else

I have great heart health but thanks for asking. Psst, I have queer relatives. What they do in their personal lives is no issue. As for me dying and what my heirs do with the coins again is of no consequence to me. If they choose to make a bad decision, I can't stop them. That is the wonderful thing about freedom. As much as you may want to, you can't protect people from their bad decisions.

Yes. The jobs being created under Obama are low paying, which helps add to those dependent on big government. Obama wants to raise the taxes on corps and 'the wealthy'... corporations are going to manufacture in the most cost effective manner they can. If you raise the cost of doing business, they will head across the pond with the jobs (to the extent they can)

Social Security is a relatively easy fix. Provided of course the stupidity of Obama's SS tax ends.
Medicare will never be resolved until we start accepting personal responsibility. The primary reason health care costs continue to escalate is because we as a society on the whole are obese and progressing more into that realm each year.
There is a great deal of economic mobility. People move up and down the income quintiles. That said, you are correct this long term economic malaise Obama has stuck us in certainly will not help those young people find work.
