Alex Krainer was recently saying that the Brits have enormous global financial power as a remainder of the British Empire..........he says that they control something like $100 trillion in financial trade.

Not sure if this is right but there is some reason why the Brits are allowed to run all around the world causing problems everywhere when they no longer have a military to speak of and their economy is shit.

What is the GOP majority in the Senate? ONE?

The Schumer Shut Down is going to kill millions. Just like the Ford shutdown did. Like the Reagan Shutdown did, like both Bush Shutdowns did.

Millions? During the Ford shutdown of 11 days there would have been about 57,000 deaths and no evidence any of them were caused by the shutdown. The Reagan shutdowns lasted 13 days with about 62,000 deaths. The GHWBush shutdown lasted 4 days.

The government shut down 3 times when Carter was President. Shut down twice while Clinton was President and once when Obama was President.

Millions will not die. During the Trump shutdown of 2019 of 35 days in 2019, starvation didn't make the top 15 causes of death. Of those top 15 causes the majority are associated with old age like heart disease, Parkinsons, and Alzheimers. Then we get to the deaths of minorities and that totals less than 1 million for the entire year.
