Things that we swore couldn't happen here have already happened. You are a fool if you don't believe it will get worse. When people are rounded up and carted away in the middle of the night, some will realize the horrible mistake they made. Others, like Stone, will applaud seeing their political enemies jailed and executed, because he really is a Nazi. Eventually, they will come for enough people that the rest will toss them out on their asses. The arc of history is long, but it bends towards justice. But we are about to go over the cliff. I think it's over.

I was optimistic over the summer that we might avoid the coming disaster. I no longer am. Biden and Garland are fiddling while Rome burns. I think Trump will be President again, and democracy is over for decades. No reason to believe that Trump will let the Constitution prevent him from seizing and holding power.

If that happens, I will be gone before the inauguration. You just have to look at the JPP nutters here to know they would hunt down ANYONE that opposed their Dear Leader. We will have no Constitutional protections once Trump takes office.

We'll agree to disagree on this one. Trump runs the party. DeSantis is like the college football team that beats up on cupcakes and suddenly thinks he can beat 'bama (or Georgia this year). He's a poser. He's not the real thing. I post on these sites so I can get a read on what the nutters think. And there is nothing that I see that makes me believe Trump doesn't brush aside DeSantis like he did everyone else. These people are brainwashed.
 
As I have been posting these last couple years that HUBRIS will be their downfall we are now watching its completion. In two years they went from making statements like....." THIS is the END of the REPUBLICAN PARTY" and WE WILL DO WHATEVER WE WANT TO DO,... and lame ass Concart during covid making statements like....." THATS IT! Were all done fucking around now! Either take the shot or we will put you in CAMPS!"
