When a moderate Mormon from Mass can win the Iowa Caucus it becomes obvious that the Religous Right aint what it used to be. I am happy that people are finally waking up.

Maybe Mitt is the last of the latter day Saints the folks have been waiting for? :D

Of course, Romney only beat Santorum by 8 votes. Had Romney defeated Paul by 8 votes, and Santorum finished a much more distant 3rd (or 4th) than actually occurred for Paul, this thread would have a bigger purpose.

That said, I'm glad that Romney won, because he will now secure both early primaries, and essentially be off to the races. I would be happier if Paul had won, but I didn't even expect him to run so closely. Paul will likely also do well in New Hampshire, and might even come in 2nd this time.

The RR do not believe Mormons or Catholics are "in the club".

They also don't believe moderates are in the club.

Iowa Republicans are about as RR as it gets.

Defining "religious right" so narrowly. There are conservative Catholics, Mormons, Jews and Muslims, and we all vote.
