Actually, the GOP had the Presidency more than the Dems in that 60 year period (30 years), and the Dems had control of both houses for more like 35 years by your site.

Do go back and look at the comment those stats were addressing. You had stated that the Dems had not had both the House and Senate in your lifetime. THAT is what I was addressing. Your comment said nothing about who was President. I added the years the Dems had control of all three just to highlight the fact that that TOO had occurred in your lifetime (assuming you were alive when Clinton first took office)

As for the number of years... feel free to show me where you think the numbers are incorrect.

I suppose I am a "nascar pinhead" because I live in Alabama? Or maybe because I live in the South? And while it is nice to know I provide daily evidence of my racism almost daily, I would sure like to see something that I actually posted on the board! It seems like that would be the least you could provide to support your charge, if you had an ounce of credibility. I'm sure it can't be that difficult to find, being I provide daily evidence almost daily!

As for IQ's and Cali people.... did you remember to count San Francisco? It might bring the Cali average below room temp... someone actually voted for Nancy Pelosi

And I need to correct you on something, the mid 70s didn't make the South the mockery for the rest of the country, they gained that accolade in the 60s. In fact, while Cali has been busy beating the daylights out of Rodney King and putting out the fires in their riot-torn cities, Alabamians who graduated in the 70s, have been teaching their kids about Civil Rights heroes like Martin Luther King, Jr. and Rosa Parks. I think this is why you couldn't find some examples of racial turmoil in Alabama since the mid 60s.

But now, by all means, you just keep on laughing in our face! It's always best to laugh when you are getting politically trounced, it makes it not seem so bad! It kind of takes your mind off getting that ass handed to you, I don't blame you for finding something to laugh about!

First it assumes that Blacks were satisfied with an unfair situation. Glad for a ride, is that statement too much or what. Then it assumes one person changed it. I wonder had she tried it say ten years earlier what the result would be?

Then it makes its greatest leap and jumps from Jim Crow to assisting people in need. The connection ain't there but somehow Dixie creates one. These people in need only need to recognize that they too can be a wealthy Buffet like characters, if they only tried a bit harder. The problem is their attitude. Notice the attitude is only assigned to certain people.

In the background it assumes a level playing field in which your race, education, class, history, etc, don't stand in the way, it's just your attitude. Dale Carnegie meet Dixie, or maybe Dixie is Dale's son? What hooey.

Well, much of it happened before my time, but apparently blacks did accept it, from the time of the Civil War until the mid 1960s, they were content with sitting at the back of the bus. Pre-Rosa, black people just went along with it, because it was easier to do that, than to protest it. I never said they liked it, we often put up with things we don't like, that is my whole point here.

I've not mentioned Jim Crow or helping people in need, I disapprove of the judicial rulings which gave us Jim Crow laws, and I am thankful the will of the people and forces of liberty prevailed. Helping people is a subjective idea... what YOU consider "helping" I may very well consider "hurting!" Trapping people in a systematic dependence and keeping them impoverished, is not exactly "helping" anyone, except the Democrat Party, who can make a few promises, dangle a few carrots, and remain in power.

Knock Dale Carnegie all you like, his success is proven and stands on its own merit, I don't need to defend his methods, they work and always will. I think it is a brilliant observation you make, to liken conservatives to someone so profoundly successful. It may be the single most brilliant connection you've ever made on these boards! Bravo!

Yes, since the CRA of 1964, this is pretty much the law of the land, and most citizens in America, recognize it as such and have no problem with it! However, according to Harry Reid, and some of you nitwits, Democrats seem to have a real problem with people based on these things and more! They stand in the way all the time, it's commonplace! As a matter of fact, it's understood and accepted and shrugged off as if it's much ado about nothing, for the leading democrat to openly admit prejudice based on skin tone and dialect!

There is NO 60 year reign of Dems of both houses....(60 years counting back from present day, which is within our lifetime. That was the original point of contention, if you had bothered to comprehend what you read)....actually it's around 30 years, with the GOP having the Presidency MORE than the Dems.

Like I told the Beefy one, I was wrong to an extent, but so was he. So next time you have a hissy fit, get an adult to explain things to you before your fingers hit the keys...makes you look less foolish (but not by much).

You need to back track the conversation and follow the chronology of exchanges. I did make the erroneous statement regarding Dem congressional control. I have since admitted error and provided proof of that error. Dixie stated that the Dems had such control for 60 years to date......NEITHER information that you or I provide supports that claim of his.

On one of your posts you injected the party control of the presidential office, not me. I merely followed suit.

Bottom line: my immediate previous post demonstrates the more accurate numbers, of which I was originally totally wrong and you were partially wrong in your original responses.
