God is in control. Has been from the beginning and will always be. Do I think DJT is a righteous man? No,...of course I don't. But there are times that even the unrighteous serve a purpose in Gods plan. And quite frankly it doesn't mean that he will never be a righteous man either as everyone has a chance for redemption right up until the moment they take their last breath.
The US economy depends on war. The best paying jobs are with what we call 'defense contractors'.

Democrats "fleeing by the millions" is a thing in your head. On the other hand there has been northern migration to warmer weather (my immediate family is an example, having moved from Connecticut to Richmond during Covid) and in the process turned Virginia blue and now eating into Republican majorities in North Carolina and Georgia.
Apart from the politics, a healthier, more literate South is good for everyone.
Quite frankly I think we may be heading into a very brief respite from the darkness,...brief though it may be it is still a respite. Then the real evil will come. How far away do I "think" that is? Merely an educated guess but IMO it is something like 3-5 years away,....tops. First there will be a time of choosing where people are shown all the evidence regarding Humanity,....then you choose. WAY more people will choose the darkness because they wrongheadedly think it is the easier path when it is anything but.

But Im not dark at all. I've said from the very beginning that my thoughts are primarily guided by Christian beliefs. Having said that,...I freely admit my timeline could be off as " no man knows the hour of his return "

I myself very much enjoy southern culture for the most part. Everything up north moves at break neck speed as you well know,...even in smaller towns. People work so hard up here,...lots of long hard hours,...a way of life. The south is just way more laid back. Things just kind of get done when they get done. At my age, after spending a lifetime with my nose to the grindstone that culture change isn't such a bad thing. Almost time for this old boy to finally sit back and watch the grass grow.

If you mean those eroding GOP majorities I don't know if "howling" is the word but there certainly is optimism.
