It's laziness. He thought the Manhattan Institute sounded VERY IMPORTANT, and this guy is a FELLOW. Neither one means a fucking thing. What we do know about the author is that he is a hard right bigot. I would be embarrassed, but I don't think that's an emotion any of them feels. They simply plow through and stay the course. It's sublime. But it's part of the reason I'm here. I'm trying to at least understand how their brains work. It's fascinating. Every politician should have a gander at this cesspool so they understand what they are appealing to or fighting against.
I know a lot of Republicans. For one,
I live in Texas, and you cannot throw a rock anywhere in this state without hitting a Republican in the head. [Geeko Sportivo]
So, of course, I have a lot of life long Republican friends here, that I grew up with, befriended with, worked with, etc. I think, I may be the only Democrat in my band as we speak. But, all of the Republican friends I have now, and the ones I have had through my lifetime, are all White people. We have Black friends and associates as well, of just about every race, creed, or color. I think we have all evolved to accept Diversity as a way of life.
Through the years, I have seen most of my Republican friends have a change in heart about race, and even the LGBTQ. We've never really had gay people within our immediate social circle, but we've all told Gay Jokes in the past, misogynist jokes, and even racial jokes amongst ourselves- at least when the wives weren't listening in. LOL
But, I can honestly say that has even changed, as I believe as we all got older, we just stopped with all of the sociably unacceptable humor period. We have even learned to not discuss much politics around each other out of respect for each other. We got too old to duke it out with each other when things reached a fevered pitch, and that used to happen all the time in our younger days together- literally. But, true friends never let a bloody nose stand in the way of our friendship. No, 10 minutes later we we were all friends again, like nothing ever happened.
We all agree that we do not want anyone teaching our grand kids or our own kids to be gay or transsexuals.
But even though my social group seems to accept gays now, it seems we are divided once again on just one issue- the idea that "Grooming Children to be Transsexuals" either exists or it doesn't.
Some of us believe it does, and some of us are not falling for the rhetoric, as we do not believe that is what is going on at all.
So, once again, we find ourselves arguing amongst ourselves again, over this silly notion, and it is uncomfortable to say the least, after my social group has come so far with the diversity thing. WE came so far and have now hit this stumbling block!
BUT, I WILL STAND FIRM AND SAY, NO ONE IS GROOMING CHILDREN TO BE GAY OR TRANSSEXUALS. NO ONE!
There is just no there there! And just because someone says it is, does not make it true.
