Carter put sanctions on Iran for that.

It was actually students who held those hostages, in the first place.

What if Black Lives Matters held a bunch of foreign hostages?

Is that foreign country suppose to wage war against the USA?

I actually think it's more questionable, why LBJ did NOTHING about the Israeli USS Liberty bombing of a US ship.

Instead, we just ended up increasing aid to Israel.

But, not as much as it used to because of foreign markets & outsourced jobs.

Some of the corporations used corporate tax cuts to just increase outsourcing.

Besides, a lot of jerk @$$ companies got corporate tax cuts.

Like CNN, MSNBC, Hollywood, Facebook, Twitter,
Walmart who outsourced jobs & hires undocumented immigrants.

I'm sure George Soros enjoys his tax cut too.

Well said Darth. But you missed one very important thing, when members of the Dem's went further left the same was happening in the Republican party as some went ultra right. We already know from the last election that there will be demonstrations that turn into riots if Trump wins. All we can hope for is cooler heads prevail and Nancy Pelosi is not a cooler head. As I said and was soundly attacked for is to save this country we must put racial and political ideologies aside and do what is best for the nation. It will take decades to mend the divide and I am sure I won't see it in my lifetime.

There's a big difference between cutting corporate tax rates & tax cuts for rich civilians.

Corporate tax cuts are probably favorable for the economy.

The ooposite likely holds true for tax cuts for rich civilians.

The Czech-Austrian (Libertarian) Nobel Prize winning economist Friedrich Hayek had proven that low interest rates cause over investment & artificial bubbles that burst into bad economies.

The same applies to giving rich civilians tax cuts.

They just tend to buy up a bunch of houses & rent them out.

That creates an artificial housing market bubble that can burst into a bad economy.

Make no surprises about it, George W. Bush's admin that caused the Great Recession did in fact have low interest rates & tax cuts for the rich.

Long behold the housing market did artificially increase into a big bubble that burst into a bad economy.

Republicans for decades got it wrong, by the way.

They kept cutting taxes for rich civilians, rather than corporate tax rates.

Not sure about post Trump, but pre Trump the USA along with Japan had the highest corporate tax rates in the World.

I will admit, Trump was smart enough to cut corporate taxes.

That's about the ONLY smart thing he's really done, if you ask me.
