The Positive side of COVID-19

Dont forget SCOTUS, they who gave up law to be another political body...Who knows what these peoples back room deal is. .

I'm not following what you mean. Are you reciting the "activist judge" conspiracy theory? That goes both ways, you know. It's a R heavy SCOTUS. What more do you want?

We'll be fine. It was a lot worse for those our age the Summer of 1933; middle of the Depression and alcohol was illegal. THAT would have really sucked ass.

At least today's bread lines are in air conditioned automobiles....and we don't have the Dust Bowl. Woot! Lucky us! :)

We are definitely a whiny bunch, aren't we? Did you know, for example, that being forced to wear a mask in Costco for the safety of the employees and other patrons is *exactly* like being shoved onto a train bound for Buchenwald?

And sadly some of those employees are being physically assaulted for doing their jobs. Will those employees get tasers to protect themselves?

Sometimes I wonder if tiffs like this in Congress is just two grifters using sleight of hand to distract us from the real issues. What's the average date cut off for absentee ballots?

Texas rules are easy: https://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/reqabbm.shtml

I just looked up ours. Anyone can vote absentee with no reason given. You must turn your ballot in by 8 pm on the election day to be counted. Sweet!

It's fucking disgusting. I am so ashamed of our fellow citizens sometimes.

We should get t-shirts to wear to the store that say "Thank you for wearing your mask so I feel safe."

It's akin to other common courtesies such as covering one's mouth when sneezing, helping someone open a door or not playing with oneself in public. People who don't care about others are making their world view known. IMHO, they are proving to either be completely selfish, in denial and/or stupid.

FWIW, I go out once a week to shop and use precautions. Most of it is food but I did make a pitstop at Home Depot for my trailer project after a dental appointment to check a crown. They took my temperature using two different devices and I tested 99.9 degrees. I hadn't been feeling 100% since getting up that day, only about 90%. I had a constant minor headache which aspirin mostly relieved to the 90%ish level. Last night I had the chills. Today I feel better, but still less than 100%. It could be something else, but I'm content to stay at home, check on my wife and see what happens.

Most inside HD, including abou half of employees were not wearing masks. Fine. Without a vaccine, I think most of us are eventually going to be exposed. I haven't been tested and have no idea why I'm slightly under the weather, but am glad it's pretty minor whatever it is. I'm more worried about my wife, but, so far, she's a little under the weather too but mostly ok.

Trump has appointed judges across the land. It will be McConnell's legacy. Moscow installed Far-right,young Federalist Society picks across the land. They will be pushing the hate into our justice system for a generation or 2. The Trump disease will linger.
The Roberts court is the most activist court in history. They have had simple cases that they reached for to make decisions on changing the precedence and infecting the future.

Fuck Moscow, but I agree the court is turning more RW'd. Still, like Roberts and Obamacare, their actions aren't RWNJ. I'm less certain about "activist court" going in either direction. Part of the problem, IMO, is that Congress is failing to do their job by punting to either the WH or SCOTUS.

The evaporation of the middle class and the growing discrepancy between the "haves" and the "have nots", the ever rising costs of insurance and medical care will result in a revolution in this country. It likely won't be in my lifetime, but I do believe that one is in the not so distant future.

a lot of this is due to globalist idiocy race to the bottom polices. so why are you such a globalist chump?

Oh lordy, Dutch, I hope that you will both be okay. It sure wouldn't hurt to be tested, and let them know where you've been, just in case.

While I'd certainly like to confirm a diagnosis, but in the end, as long as I'm self-quarantining, it doesn't matter since there is no cure or vaccine. It's like going to the doctor for a cold. What's s/he going to say? "Drink plenty of water, get bed rest and take aspirin...now pay the receptionist your copay". Obviously if it becomes serious, it's doctor-time. So far, both of us just have mild headaches and a little fever. The chills I had last night didn't last long. Testing is more for tracking the disease than helping patients.

In the end, it's the body count that tells the tale, not a mild headache and mild fever.

Whatever you decide please don't take chances with your health!

Do you have any references backing those numbers?

If the disease is real, then why are you claiming the numbers are the same? Yes, the disease only has a 3% mortality rate. Most people are barely affected. The 3%, not so much.

Its the "panic porn" from ignorant enablers......that concerns me. Even the 3% number that you presented is total Bullshit as you simply parroted some talking head talking out their ass. You are parroting demonstrated "fake" propaganda from the WHO (world health organization.....controlled by the Chicoms). This 3% mortality was debunked almost as soon as the WHO released this model based upon a false premise.....the actual mortality rate resembles the seasonal flu.....@ 0.1% That's correct of the 100% infected.....99.9% make a total recovery within 3 days (entire population.....the highest mortality rate lies with seniors and the infirmed just like the seasonal flu).

The one's that should be "sequestered" are those who are actually sick and infirmed ……..not the healthy who should be going about their business as usual creating a herd immunity. As always....the globalists and the leftists have the MULE ATTEMPTING TO PUSH THE PLOW.

Not only did the WHO allow the bug to spread on a global basis by refusing to release the actual data from CHINA back in the fall of 2019......their first action was to send out millions of tests that resulted in an 80% false positive. Just ask the Canucks about their dealings with the Chicoms and the WHO …….they paid for protective equipment with a medical order to China and found out they were sent worthless faulty medical equipment.

When one nation ordered tests from the WHO they sent in swabs from a goat and Pawpaw (fruit)…..both tested positive for the Virus...…..

When ever I see "PANIC PORN"......I simply call out the Bullshiter who parroted and pasted it. ;)

You mean just like you are doing now? The fact remains the US isn't alone in being concerned about this disease. If it was, I'd completely agree it's political bullshit, but it isn't.

Texas doesn't have a lefty, liberal government. We've had 45,198 confirmed cases, 25,454 recovered cases and 1,272 deaths. While I don't trust the data out of Russia and China, I do trust the data from the Texas and Federal government. You claiming that data is "simply parroted some talking head talking out their ass" is a ridiculous.
