Runatic is trying to equate asthma solely with air pollution, even though that has fallen dramatically over the years. Ironically one of the biggest reasons for the increase in childhood asthma is the far more hygienic conditions that kids are brought up in these days. There is plenty of evidence to support the theory that getting dirty and playing outside is one of the best ways to attune the body to defend against allergies. Kids also have far fewer childhood infections and this plays a large part in preventing the buildup of immunity.

Of course the poor are the victims of man made climate change......one has to be wealthy to indulge in such horseshit, the rest of the world is to busy simply trying to make it from one day to the next to worry about the things they are incapable of changing/controlling...i.e., the weather. Control is an illusion...we are all at the mercy of a transcendent authority that could end us in the blink of an eye.

The cost of the upheaval caused by failure to address climate change is visited mostly on the poor. When shit hits the fan
who gets it? The poor. Trump isn't living in those trailer parks that get flattened, those hovels that get flooded,
those uninsured ghettos that get flooded, the coastal villages leveled by Tsunamis, the pollution in ground water.

The poor get fucked umpteen ways from sunday in all things. From alpha to omega. Last I checked climate change was within that series....

You can thank the plaintiff's bar and class action lawsuits for much of the improvement. You have to hit them in the nut sack, and hard, to get them to change. Brockovitch /Gerardi & Keese type suits.
Without tagging their bottom line, these large corps have no incentive at all to be good corporate citizens. They would knowingly kill millions to make a millions if they could get away with it.
And without the science to back the suits, no settlements at all.
