I do go without a mask--all of the time. No mask. I've been out and about the whole time during this pandemic too. If I catch Chinese Disease so be it. I'm not likely to die from it in any case. I have no underlying health conditions and the odds among those without such conditions of dying are miniscule.

I’ll ignore the rest of it since it’s irrelevant. I’m not denying Covid. I’m just pointing out there’s ample reason to suspect some degree of fraud anytime the government incentivizes anything. Why do the Covidians refuse to accept that PCR tests spit out a high rate of false positives?

This demonstrates what I stated earlier: This is the empirical lab study. It doesn't measure the effectiveness of mask wearing in a population exposed to COVID versus not wearing a mask. Right now, the few studies that have actually done this show there is no advantage to mask wearing.

If you don't think wearing a mask helps prevent you from catching COVID, then don't wear the fucking mask.

Just be prepared to face the consequences, which may include death on a ventilator.

Not really. No different than open incisions anywhere else, other than the skill and purpose of the one making the incision.

It’s not always obvious tracing a post operative wound infection back to its source. In my decades of working in surgery I’ve never heard of one being traced back to spittle or whatever. Bacteria can be ambient in the air which is why operating rooms have positive pressure—all ambient air is pushed out of the room.

And if bacteria can be found in aerosol, well, needless to say viruses are as well. In which case paper or cloth face masks are about as effective as a chain link fence is against mosquitoes.

This particular metaphor is a good description of masks against viruses. It has become a popular metaphor for that reason.

I worked for a guy like that once decades ago, Juan Sepulveda. He was from Chile. South Americans tend to do that as a normal part of their culture.

So if you're going up to people and asking them to cough in your face, then a mask is definitely going to have diminishing returns.

But if you stay six feet apart and wear your masks and project your voice, you'll be fine, the person you're talking to will be fine, all the people around you will be fine because you're all wearing masks.

And FWIW, I like people wearing masks because I find most people quite ugly, and I find myself frowning at people a lot these days.

So a mask is good because people can't see my resting frown face.

Doctors that are against masking and lockdowns are being suppressed on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.

Well, those private platforms can do whatever the hell they want, and if they determined that those people are spreading lies, then maybe stop spreading lies and you can rejoin the platform.
