I work with a lot of Asians from all ethnic cultures and I find them to be honest, hard working and grateful to be in this country. Over the years, I've seen many of them get their citizenship papers and nobody and I mean nobody could be prouder.....but a fast majority of the women came here marrying old retired white men and some black ones too. So my take on whats happening to them with the violence is a little jaded.
One thing, I got from my interactions with Asians, is they don't want to bother anybody, they just want to come to work, come rain or shine and be left alone. Many aren't politically attached to any party and most do not vote...again, they just want to be under the radar, not seen, not hard, but just left alone and that folks is the problem. To be apart of this nation you have to come to the table of something, beside a paycheck, beside money. Today bc of Covid, violence among Asian Americans has spiked, thanks to Trump, its now their fault, their virus.....To our Asian brothers and sisters, I'm suprised it took more than a year bf the blame game started to turn violent. Shortly after 911, every Muslim in the country was a target. Everytime a white man loses a contracting job or some latino murders anything white, every Mexican in this country becomes a target and every negro that commits a crime, every negro in this country takes a hit....so for Asians to now feel the sting of hate crimes, consider yourselves a bit lucky, it could have been so much worse.
