The photo in the Situation Room...

I also wonder about how the President is dressed, everyone else is formally dressed, many in suit and tie.

Part of the good thing about being President, I imagine, is that no one can tell you that you have to put on a fucking suit when you're not leaving the house on a Sunday.

I just have a hard time beliveing that these photos are really not thought about ahead of time by an image team, but if they were... they would have been different.

Politics aside, I have been wondering about the photo that the White House released from the Situation Room the day Bin Laden was killed.

Why is the President sitting in the corner in a little chair?

Some will say it shows that he was marganalized and not a part of the decision, but if that is the case, why did they release the photo, and wouldent the president have been image awaire enough to have insisted on a more staged photo?

It might be that the General at the head of the table was leading the mission and the president properly allowed him the seat that gave him the best view and comand position. If thats the case the president is to be comended because he let the military expert do his job and did not let ego and image get in the way of the best way to accomplish the mission.

We know Biden tried to talk the president out of giving the go ahead, but even Biden had a nicer more real seat at the table.

That photo perplexes me.

Anyone w/ ODS?

Seriously, after some of the tripe you guys have posted about Obama, I wouldn't have been shocked at all to see an "Obama marginalized in photo - weak leader" thread....

Well, thats 2 pinheads above with the same IQ.....i.e. fair to low

I guess the President's ego is not as big as many would have you belive.

More strawman bullshit right after you were made aware of it.....just can't
help yourself, can you Jughead ?......Onecell has the same problem.

I think this is first time I've seen anyone even question this seating arrangement since it happened......
No one gave a shit then, and no one gives a shit now......its only the pinheads that even
notice such petty nonsense....ie. Bush in the classroom when 9/11 happened.....

RE Osama Bin Laden. Significant push to take him out months ago. Senior WH staff resisted. This was cause of much strain between HC and Obama/Jarrett. HC and LP were in constant communication over matter – both attempted to convince administration to act. Administration feared failure and resulting negative impact on president. Intel disgusted over politics over national security. Staff resigned/left. Check timeline to corroborate.

Now Intel already leaking to media facts surrounding how info obtained. Namely from enhanced interrogation efforts via GITMO prisoners. Obama administration placed in corner on this. …

Point of determination made FOR Obama not BY Obama. Will clarify as details become more clear. Very clear divide between Military and WH. Jarrett marginalized 100% on decision to take out OBL. She played no part. BD worked with LP and HC to form coalition to force CoC to engage.

IMPORTANT SPECIFIC: When 48 hour go order issued, CoC was told, not requested. Administration scrambled to abort. That order was overruled. This order did not originate from CoC. Repeat – this order did not originate from CoC. He complied, but did not originate.

Independent military contacts have confirmed. Stories corroborate one another. This is legit.

The killing of Osama Bin Laden was in fact a Coup within Obama WH. …

look he was probably just walking around, dipped some chips into some guac, and then sat down in the nearest available chair. you are reading too much into things.

maybe everyone was more interested in what was going on than images

once the go ahead order was given, obama's role was minor

still can't find anything after all this time jarod?

I'm curious, Yurtsie - why should he have to? SF was the one who brought it up. Jarod was basically just making an observation.

Is this one of your weird non-gotcha gotcha's?

Jughead questioned the photo in the op.....did I miss something ?

OBAMA CONSENTED - DID NOT ORDER THE OSAMA TAKE DOWN OPERATION
OBSERVE THE PEOPLE IN THIS PHOTO! DOES THE HUNCHED OVER MAN SITTING IN A BACK LEFT CORNER APPEAR TO BE IN COMMAND OR JUST AN OBSERVER.

What that picture shows is The Obama clueless, afraid, and "outside the loop", which corroborates the other evidence of him trying to abort the mission. Contrast his expression with the others in the room. With the possible exception of Clinton, these folks all look confident.
