Similarly, an AP-NORC poll of 1,203 adults conducted January 8-11, 2026, found that just 40 percent of U.S. adults approve of Trump’s handling of his job, with 59 percent disapproving, netting -19 points.

The good news is that the total numbers are even less.

Only 60% of eligible American voters bother to vote. Check my math, but this means that only 15% of all eligible American voters are die-hard MAGAts. The 40% who don't vote doesn't mean they won't take to the streets when it counts.
