The "other side" is not dumb

Good proof.

Tell us oh grand intellectual... what proof did you offer of any of your ramblings?

You said she is trying to 'educate' meatheads (I assume you mean wacko and myself since we are the ones engaged with her)... yet she refuses to answer any questions. Refuses to provide any evidence. Is that 'education' in your deluded fantasy world where you are also an 'intellectual'?

You pretend that the liberal is 'open minded', yet liberals routinely dismiss anything that doesn't already fit into their preconceived versions of reality. Liberals such as you and Desh are the most close minded simpletons on this board... which again is saying a lot.

The fact that you think Desh is a 'critical thinker' is pure fucking comedy.

People like Deshtard are the reason sane people think the democrat party is dumb. If it weren't for the fact that I believe in the first amendment I would argue that she be committed

No. I just am smarter, a miracle of birth or whatever. I choose to be liberal because of that.

Cool Story Bro.

Why don't you take that genius and develop an operating system superior to Windows, Macintosh, and Linux. Or perhaps engineer some aircraft platforms superior to Boeing and Airbus. I damn sure wouldn't be a full-time Air Guardsman if I had genius. I would have majored in physics at Harvard, and then looked to make my fortune.

Interesting that you have claimed to be a "libertarian" in the last. In a moment of weakness you are finally being honest.

Kudos dick wad

Again for the slower members; I am a left libertarian.

I have said so 1000 times, in fact it was in my signature for years.

Since there still remain so many questions on this issue;

here is a good short synopsis.
there are thousands of other articles.

In a general sense it means that the usual distrust that a libertarian has for the force implicit in state power structures is applied with equal fervor to class, gender, religion, business, families, unions and fraternal organizations of any kind. I personally have a bias in support of individual rights over democratic power structures and democratic power over theocratic, business, union or non-representative power structures.

Fundamentally, I believe in the general set of libertarian principles, maximizing the liberty of individuals as long as those individuals are competent adults, fully able to participate in the market and interact with others.

Practically, it means I support significant regulation and policing of powerful organizations while being very suspicious of policing and regulation of individuals. I accept the necessity of a robust, non punitive social safety net for individuals. I'm aggressively against rent seeking.

I'm not a leveler, as Gerald Brent's answer suggests, although I do think that a standard Austrian economic model could only be successful after such a great leveling. I'm anti-utopian, so I insist on working from the structures we already have.

It means I get to argue with everyone. I suspect almost all government regulation of individuals, which annoys liberals. I'm fully in support of robust regulation and taxation of corporations, which annoys conservatives. I think most regular libertarians are naive in their conception of the existing power structures within our society, which annoys them. I think gold bugs are completely insane.

So are liberals smarter? Kanazawa quotes from two surveys that support the hypothesis that liberals are more intelligent. One is the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health, which is often called Add Health. The other is the General Social Survey (GSS). The Add Health study shows that the mean IQ of adolescents who identify themselves as "very liberal" is 106, compared with a mean IQ of 95 for those calling themselves "very conservative." The Add Health study is huge — more than 20,000 kids — and this difference is highly statistically significant.(See the top 10 scientific discoveries of 2009.)But self-identification is often misleading; do kids really know what it means to be liberal? The GSS data are instructive here: Kanazawa found that more-intelligent GSS respondents (as measured by a quick but highly reliable synonym test) were less likely to agree that the government has a responsibility to reduce income and wealth differences. In other words, intelligent people might like to portray themselves as liberal. But in the end, they know that it's good to be the king.

Funny how both refer to the same study of kids and young adults... not adults who have life experience. Shocking.

I have inventions.

If you were a genius looking for money you wouldn't major in physics.
