I distinctly remember you saying you've only gotten interested in politics over the last few years. That suggests that you really don't have the knowledge to criticize people over MJ, because you yourself weren't paying attention to news and editorials about her over the years, so you don't know for a fact how people talked about this.

I remember a time when people, regardless of their personal feelings, kept any unkind thoughts to themselves out of respect for the dead.

Well, george bush was accused of raping and killing margie schoedinger (or having her killed) but few people gave her any credibility. I'll bet you never even heard of her until now.

MJ's death has been in the news off and on for 40 years so you're way off in insisting she hasn't been talked about.

Wasn't it your (pl.) point that Teddy got away with a crime because of his money and connections? That is exactly why Laura got away with vehicular homicide. Again, you're trying to say Douglas's death isn't as important because Laura wasn't an elected official. How many of your friends or family died? Aren't those deaths just as important as MJ's?

Face it, the real crime for you is that Kennedy was a life-long liberal who promoted legislation that you hate.

Everybody understands she's a girl who made a mistake. The main issue was her mother's sanctimonious preaching about family values, while she was obviously blind to what was happening in her own house.

Since I'm not all that familiar with Laura Bush's story what kind of connections did her family have that got her off?
 
She also then went to work as a spokes person for a abstinance only group.
