Yurt, I'm an addict to these boards so I see a lot of what gets posted. Most of what we have talked about regarding Kennedy has been about Mary Jo. Outside of Jarod saying Kennedy's his hero and Desh (who while good people is so in love with Democrats you have to write off most of what she says) no one has really said anything all that outrageous about Kennedy. Hell I even started a thread asking about his legislative achievements and it got very little response.
I'm just throwing out my two cents. I understand where you are coming from but this time I think you are seeing something that isn't there.

That's right...at least it used to be, back when civility and not hatred and anger ruled the day.

I was taking issue with your shameless appeal to emotionalism; little did I know that would be the 1st of many times you would post her picture.
For the record, I took BAC to task for the same thing, when he posted pictures of victims from the Iraq war, even though we agreed about that war in general.
Cawacko is no leftie, and he recognizes the same thing I do: you have had tunnel vision about Kennedy & Chappaquidick. Very few lefties have not agreed that his behavior was deplorable in that situation, and it has been discussed on this board ad nauseum.
But it's not enough for you; we have to reject AND condemn, and then when that is over, we have to condemn others who dare to talk about anything else in Kennedy's legacy, and condemn again.

My first criticism was your appeal to emotionalism; then, I realized how crazy obsessed with this you are.
And you are; even posters that lean more right notice it. How can you deny that? You have posted her picture everywhere on this board, and continually bring her up in any conversation about Kennedy, as though nothing else is worth discussing.
And I'm not saying that Chappaquiddick isn't part of his legacy. But I think you'd be hard-pressed to argue that it hasn't been thoroughly covered on this board, by both right & left (you're assertion before that the left hasn't talked about it is ridiculous).

Fringe righties made fun of Chelsea and Amy Carter when they were children and adults, and Hillary has been raked over the coals since Bill's first campaign in the early '90's.
The kids don't deserve that kind of treatment. It shows the mean streak of righties like rush, who never had kids, thank God, and McCain, who should have known better but gets no award for being Father of the Year.
Are they posting picture's of the victim in that accident on as many threads as they can?
