The Obama Economic Rebound

Republican politicians need to here this message about 1,000 times just to get back in the game.

alright Toppy you can't regulate a business to stay in business or have success. Can you imagine during the tech boom 'regulating' some dot com to not go out of business? We can't regulate our way to non failure.

We have had mostly regulated public utilities for many years.

Of course they have all collapsed now and need a trillion or so bailout?

we certainly can regulate against the theaft that happened on Wall sTreet last year. At least dozens if not hundreds should be in Jail.

Heres your problem, Obama will be talking to the people just like FDR did.

I understand that you cannot accept any possible turning by the populace on Obama, but you are absolutely nuts if you think they would stick with him if the market continues to fall for the next six months... no matter how much he talks to them.

....
The department attributed to rise in income to pay rises for federal civilian and military employees, as well as cost-of-living adjustments to several government transfer payments programs. It said excluding these factors, incomes would have increased by 0.2 percent in January....
Maybe we can all just work for the government, just like the old Soviet Union. *shrug*

I love this, I just hope Piyush or the Mormon keep up the socialist comedy in 2012.

When the economy does rebound, it will happen in spite of the porkulus package, not because of it.

Ah, this time the Libertarians have their revisionist history ready ahead of time. I guess we can call it previsionist history. Or as is more accurate; preventionist history.

What they're trying to prevent is another resounding success for Liberalism, burying them and their close kissing cousins, the R's, into political obscurity for another 30 years.

Good luck! :clink:

And then failed neoliberalism will emerge again and run the economy into the ground once more. I wonder how many times its going to take before people realize to NEVER trust conservatives?

What the Democrats are doing with this stimulus plan is a Keynesian scheme. I can point out several times in history where governments have tried this and failed, most recently, Japan. Can you point out a single instance where it was successful?

It worked with FDR.

It didn't work in Japan because they refused to deficit spend, so in fact they didn't do anything like what we're doing. They weren't willing to spend what it took to keep their economy running.
