A Pennsylvania newlywed couple pleaded not guilty to charges they killed a man after luring him to a rendezvous through an online dating advertisement, strangling him and stabbing him repeatedly.
Prosecutors contend that the husband hid under a blanket in the back of their car as his wife drove to pick up a man she met through Craigslist at a mall north of Harrisburg on Nov. 11.
The victim, 42-year-old Troy LaFerrara, answered the ad because he wanted companionship.
On Miranda’s signal, Elytte strangled LaFerrara with a cord while Miranda stabbed him about 20 times, authorities said.
The two committed the killing because they “just wanted to murder someone together”.
