An Albuquerque man was arrested for allegedly carrying a loaded “AR-15 style rifle” into a movie theater late Friday night while he was intoxicated.

Darnell Hill, 24, was charged with unlawfully carrying a firearm into a licensed liquor establishment and negligent use of a deadly weapon in connection with the incident, which led theater employees to frantically run for the exits or hide, according to a criminal complaint filed in Metropolitan Court.

They may not be transgendered, it may be they simply left a default set of pronouns in the profile. However, some images included seem to indicate that this person is on the rainbow spectrum somewhere other than the dichromatic cis male/female.

Tennessee has “weak” gun control laws, according to Everytown for Gun Safety, a gun control advocacy organization. The state allows people to own automatic assault weapons and does not have a law banning high-capacity ammunition magazines. In 2022, Guns & Ammo, a magazine dedicated to firearms and ammunitions, ranked Tennessee as the 12th best state in the country for gun owners.

The state recently allowed residents to carry handguns in public without a permit. State officials are considering lowering the age to carry handguns without a permit from 21 years old to 18, according to the Associated Press.
