The Myth of "American Exceptionalism" Implodes

Funny how the wingnuts here can't defend the conservative ideology that got us into this mess. They'd rather argue some stupid democracy vs republic bullshit. Only because democracy has the term democrat in it. 30 yrs of trickle-down, voodoo economics, greed is good, outsourcing American's jobs to communist slave labor and market/regulation manipulation for profit has destroyed this country. And all they can talk about is some minor bullshit propaganda point Newt began in the 90's. You guys are so sad.

You truly are taking your debating skills back to the level of a caveman.

It has nothing to do with democracy and democrat being similar in spelling you dolt.

That said, note that the downturn mentioned in the original thread began right at the same time that Johnson's moronic socialistic programs were enacted.

You use moronic comments like 'u guys think greed is good' to justify your incessant ranting about how much you hate the right.

The problems this country faces today are the direct result of poor fiscal policy on the part of both parties. 1960 was the last year our idiots in DC lowered the national debt year over fiscal year.

The repeal of Glass Steagall was a massive mistake. It was removed 90-8 in the Senate (kudos to the 8 Dems who correctly opposed it) and it was signed by Clinton. Since the Dems took over Congress in 2007, they have added about $5.5 trillion to our nations debt.

You can pretend it was all due to 'Reaganomics' blah blah blah.... but when you break down policies, it is typically those policies giving the government more power that have hosed us in the long term.

The Governor's report said Arnold built cozy relationships with special interests. Wouldn't that really be true of every Governor and every politician? Since almost every group can be deemed a special interest there is no politician today that has relationships with nobody.

Remember Arnold proclaiming special interests don't like him because he kicks their butt? (right before all his special election propositions went down to defeat)

Which is a redundancy. Either way we are not a "Democracy", that is a type of government which would take an entirely different form.

Damo, sorry, I was being a smartass, this was a term used on the Rate Bush board. AOL back in the day by one of the more prolific posters.

I was trolling, my bad.

There is a Democratic Republic.

We are a Republic, a union of sovereign states, I heard it a lot during my talks with a candidate for governor in Alaska. :)

:lies:
Your source is another left wing liberal George Soros funded group. I am not surprised that only Republican governors were on the list. Lets not worry about how Gov. Moonbeam gave big raises to all his union buddies, the first time he was in office, and it looks like he will continue to pander to the unions again this time around.

David Paterson and Bill Richardson are Repub governors?

These congress members are Repubs?

Rep. David Scott (D-GA)
Rep. Pete Visclosky (D-IN)
Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-IL)
Rep. Alan B. Mollohan (D-WV)
Rep. Laura Richardson (D-CA)
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA)
Sen. Roland Burris (D-IL)
Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA)
Rep. Dan Lipinski (D-IL)
Rep. Charles B. Rangel (D-NY)

Where's your proof that Soros is funding C.R.E.W.?
