How exactly does NOT building a mosque on a site that they have owned for a while now show that they are a tolerent people? Would it also be tolerent of homosexuals to not go to company picnics and dinners with their partner if enough of their co-workers were uncomfortable with homosexuality? This is like saying that the Japanese should not have complained about being interned because, well, culturally we Americans were uncomfortable living around the Japanese Americans in our midst. If they had just gone and lived quietly in these breeding places of TB and other diseases until the war was over and then not complained about losing their homes. I mean, culturally you have to understand we thought all you slanty eyed fucks were spies. It is NOT a sign of tolernce to go away because peoples feelers get hurt. The other protests in Tennesse and Wisconsin are spurred by these mouthbreathers in NY. Should they dedicate it on September 11? No. But we have all these rightwingers talking about using emminent domain to stop the building of the mosque, like coming up with a project that could circumvent the building of this mosque through the use of emminent domain would not be a blantant act of discrimination in the guise of emminent domain. All you need do is turn on Fox, to see the mouthpieces of the rightwing feeding into this bigotry that no one is willing to admit to, even in polls, but is still selling ad time on Fox. If most people on the right disagreed, right wing pundits would have moved on to something else.

I don't. I have no use for most religious belief. I find it to be a hold over from when humans got scared because the sun went away at night so we came up with supernatural reasons and supernatural beings. But it seems to me that religious feelings are hardwired to some extent and because of that we have to tolerate religion. We have Christian Identity groups in this country (I am sure YOU have heard of them) that believe that our ZOG government should be overthrown, that the races should be separate and that god favors white people. They preach about the coming war, idolize books like The Turner Diaries and we should be tolerant of them as well. We only punish bad acts, and not bad thoughts without any acts. When and if these jihadist begin to conspire to do violent shit then we can go after them. Just because you don't like someone because they believe they are better than you doesn't mean you get to act against them. Christ all of Texas would be in serious shit.
