The measure of a person...

I don't think Libya was a mistake. Neither does Mike Pence. I am sorry we lost lives, but we got Quadaffi out of power and are developing a better state there.
Pence and the Republicans are expected neocons - Clinton should not be part of that.
The Democrats rightly criticized Bush for Iraq -and then she does the same regime change in Libya.

Getting Qadaffi out of power would be like the efforts to remove assad -which Clinton also tried with her Friends of Syria.
She still wants a No Fly zone there too - despite the fact we'd be up against the Russian AF,
and a NoFly wouldn't help on the ground for the refugees unless we started to bomb Assad/Islamists, and not just ISIS.
It's another recipe for a disaster like Libya is now

but we got Quadaffi out of power and are developing a better state there.

good god man; do you know what Libya is still like 5 years after our intervention? ain't nothing getting better.

I agree with you, however the West just left Libya to its own devices after war. The UN should have sent in peacekeepers.
where exactly?
to go between the armed militias in Tripoli? Every faction/neighborhood had it's own militia.
You wants to put Blue Hats between those armed camps?
It's why Libya was called "militia rule" - before the breakdown into it's now 3 governments

Well, I disagree. Sorry.

How are you different from Trump?

I have always felt that one of the best ways to gain the measure of a person is how they act after having made a mistake. If they own up to it, apologies, take all reasonable measures to fix the damage done and then take steps to ensure the mistake is not made again...

You made two mistakes in your OP.

How shall Jarod be measured as a person?

Did you apologize and take steps to not repeat the mistake?

So, you did not hear HRC apologize over her mistake using a private server?

I did, yet I have never heard Trump apologize for anything!

Her first response was not to apologize you liar

Here is how she responded to Lincoln Chafee when challenged on emails in a democrat debate. You remember the democrat primaries don't you?

And from the Washington Post

https://www.washingtonpost.com/inve...301168-e162-11e5-846c-10191d1fc4ec_story.html

Quoted from the Post was Crooked Hillary's INITIAL response

“I opted for convenience to use my personal email account, which was allowed by the State Department, because I thought it would be easier to carry just one device for my work and for my personal emails instead of two.”

I don't see an apology in there do you?

It wasn't until she started getting heat that she said this:

“It wasn’t the best choice. I made a mistake. It was not prohibited. It was not in any way dis*allowed.”

Well she lied because up and down the chain it has been shown that it was disallowed

Well since GayRod is so big on people just coming out right away and apologizing when they fuck up he may have something to say about this?

The OP is about Trump.

But I know he's perfect in your eyes.

The OP is about the kind of person GayRod respects. He specifically points out Trump, but fails to mention any others. I would think the Clintons are relevant. If she weren't a candidate for the highest office maybe you would have a point. I do notice that you aren't on here claiming "Oh no the Clintons are honest and forthright". No you are just mad they are being brought up and GayRods and your hypocrisy is being highlighted.

As for me thinking Trump is perfect? Not a chance. I have many problems with Trump. I was always a Cruz guy. There is one thing I do enjoy about Trump and have said so since the beginning and that is how crazy he drives you leftardiots. I mean I have never seen anything like it.

I think deep down in places you don't like to talk about you know he can win in November. There is one scenario under which I would vote for Trump and that is if I could be 100% sure he would nominate someone like Ted Cruz to the Supreme Court. He does that and I am all in. I don't give a fuck about anything else he does if he gives us a 6-3 Supreme Court. Then we can undo 40 years of leftist bullshit starting with Roe vs Wade and I will change my avatar to a bloody hanger just for shits and giggles

They could have protected the airports, government buildings, oil installations, vital infrastructure and sea ports for a start. The West should also have trained up a national army within Libya, none of that was done.

I definitely think Trump can win. That ain't no secret.

I win either way. Watching the GOP fall further down the rabbit hole will be a joy. The Dems will gain big majorities on both houses of Congress.

And if Roe gets overturned? I don't think Republicans will ever win another election.

So either way, I'm fine.

You are either being willfully blind or have really poor reading skills. The OP is not just about Trump, it is about a certain type of "person". Jarod just happened to mention Trump. Let's see if I post the relevant portion and maybe you can get this time around.

I consider that person a great leader and an honorable person who I would like to work with. If however they blame others, refuse to apologies, don't take responsibility for the damage done and don't take steps to not repeat the mistake, then that is not a person I want to work with and cant respect.

But...Hillary!

And last thing, ILA - the idea that you consider yourself "pro life" is kind of a hoot. Just a ridiculous assertion, given many of your other sentiments.
