The little man is humbled

Next steps?

The U.S. has admitted a significant number of Ukrainian refugees since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, primarily through programs like Uniting for Ukraine (U4U), which offers a two-year parole period.

According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), approximately 537,000 Ukrainians have entered the U.S. under humanitarian parole. This number aligns with broader estimates, though exact figures fluctuate due to re-parole processes and new arrivals.

Regarding benefits, Ukrainian parolees under U4U are eligible for certain federal assistance typically reserved for refugees, thanks to specific Biden administration policies.

The Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2022 extended eligibility for programs like Medicaid, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and Supplemental Security Income (SSI)—a Social Security program for low-income individuals who are elderly, blind, or disabled—to Ukrainians paroled into the U.S.

@Grok

Any suggestions? I can think of a couple.

Watching that exchange was certainly watching history.
Who’d of expected anything else than Christiananality pedophilia of JD expressing Czar of Russia Orthodox Church rootin’ tootin’ Putin renaming Zelensky & Ukraine coffee, tea, sugar or just exterminating them in “serve the Pope or die” ChristHitler Trumpanzees tradition of Trumpamengele….

The Ukrainian delegation doesn't seem to realize braindead Biden is no longer (nominally) president.

New sheriff in town.

Rough week for the Felon, embarrassed all week by European leaders calling out his lies.

He brought lil J.D. in to help today, but no dice, embarrassed again.

Think so, Brad?

Say, speaking of J.D.; isn't it a fact that he earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Yale Law School, from whence he graduated in 2013 after serving as an editor of The Yale Law Journal.

I believe that Yale Law School is widely regarded as one of the top law schools in the United States, if not the world.

How does that compare to the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University, Brad?

The Felon's White House staffers reportedly ate Zelensky's lunch, literally.

They had a lunch planned, for the little man and his posse, but Zelensky got kicked out, so the Felon gave hungry Americans his food.

No waste in the Felon's White House!

He has no option, that I can see.

Sure he does. Pass a Ukrainian law that forbids it to join NATO.
He gets to keep his resources, what country he's got left and the half of the Ukrainian population that was pro-Russian in the first place.
He could even go back to something he was quite good at.

Think so?

Pundits need to understand that the average American probably doesn't know where the Ukrainian border is, maybe they don't know where Ukraine is, and doesn't even care if it continues to exist or not.

On the latter count, I'm not even sure I do. We've had three years of western politicians writing blank checks to Zelensky.

I'm glad it appears to be over.

America's wars of the last sixty years have brought no benefits to Americans that I can see.

If there is to be further US backing, there should at least be something in it for the US taxpayer, and I would need to see some admission from Zelensky that protracted fighting is unsustainable.

He appears to want unconditional backing in order to fight to the last Ukrainian.

I can't see any good reason to underwrite that.

Trump is putting Zelensky on notice that this has gone on too long, and he's not wrong about that.

If, though, Europe has different ideas, it is for Europe to put its own money up.

America has potentially bigger problems emerging in the Pacific, and Russia is a more important broker in that scenario than a self-bankrupting Europe that's turning its back on democratic values.

Yes- call a halt. No NATO, no Donbas, no more war.
The worst thing that could happen at this point is that the dumbass Brits and the EU believe that they can come to rescue Ukraine and save Europe from..................................who ? Russia isn't thteatening Europe.

Zelensky is in a trap, in my opinion. He cannot make peace with Moscow, if, as I suspect, he would be removed within days by his own people.

It is possible that being publicly overborne by Trump, by relieving him of responsibility for any retreat, makes life easier for him. Only a guess.

Leave it to Christian Nation SCOTUS Christiananality pedophilia interpretation of “one nation under God with equal justice under law” to just have Russia’s Orthodox Church rootin’ tootin’ Putin Trumpanazis Trumpamengele as “one nation under God under color of law….
