The kangaroo court in the news

Thug Floyd was 6-foot-4 and 223 pounds, according to the autopsy, which also found fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system.

Derek Chauvin is 5' 9" and weighs 140 pounds.

When told to get into the squad car, Floyd repeatedly yelled, "I’m not that kind a guy!" and "I'm claustrophobic!" As officers shoved his upper body and then his legs into the car, he writhed and screamed, "Please! Please! … I can’t breathe!"

Officers were clearly exasperated as Floyd braced himself against the squad car and arched his body while they tried to get him inside. At one point, he threw his upper body out of the car, and officers tried to push him back in.

Officers eventually pulled him out and brought him to the ground. Floyd thanked officers as they took him out of the squad car.

Once Floyd was on the ground — with Chauvin’s knee on his neck, another officer’s knee on his back and a third man holding his legs — the officers talked calmly about whether he might be on drugs.

Exactly! My wife and I were watching the body cam footage this morning and she said the exact same thing that he was saying he couldn't breathe when no one was touching him.

That would make a decent person think he should not be strangled by a knee for 9 minutes. So you both saw Chaivin attacked a guy's problem area.

But he wasnt strangled. The county ME said he found no "tell-tale signs of asphyxiation." You would think 9 minutes of kneeling on someone's neck would leave some sign of it. But like your imbecile VP said, you people prefer truth to facts.

Chauvin did what he was trained to do.

Thug Floyd’s death was not caused by the officer’s knee, as prosecutors contend, but by Floyd’s illegal drug use, heart disease, high blood pressure and the adrenaline flowing through his body.

A key witness who was with Thug Floyd on the day he died has informed the court that he will invoke the Fifth Amendment if asked to testify in Derek Chauvin's murder trial.

The Hennepin County Public Defender's Office filed a notice Wednesday on behalf of Morries Lester Hall, 42, who was in the car with Thug Floyd when police approached him for allegedly using a fake $20 bill at Cup Foods in Minneapolis.

"Mr. Morries Lester Hall, through undersigned counsel, hereby provides notice to all parties in this matter that if called to testify he will invoke his Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination," said a notice filed by assistant public defender Adrienne Cousins. "Therefore, counsel for Mr. Hall respectfully moves this court to quash the subpoena and release Mr. Hall from any obligations therein."

Like the imbecile vp said, the left prefers truth to facts.

people who are claustrophobic do believe being in a confined place makes it hard for them to breathe, dumbass. good god. the point is, the asshole kept his knee on his neck, with his face down on hard concrete, and his hands cuffed behind his back. let somebody you trust do that to you and see how easy it is to breathe, for about 9 minutes.

One should also note that earlier in all that video, the officers did ask Floyd if he was on drugs and Floyd answered that he wasn't (clearly a lie given what we now know). Had Floyd been honest about his drug use, the officers might have responded differently.

If he already couldn't breathe that sounds like a good reason not to further impede his breathing with a knee on his neck. They had advance warning of his problem.

But not a defense against homicide.

He was also saying "I can't breathe" while chauvin had his knee on his neck so the knee seems irrelevant. But here's a question for you, how does one speak if one cannot breathe?

I understand your point but something was studied and taught after the Garner death in NYC: custodial asphyxiation.

Handcuffing behind the back and placing a big person face down on the ground can lead to it.

If the Minneapolis PD did not teach this to its officers they could face liability.

Do you mean positional asphyxia?
