Ok, so this woman has a criminal record. Irrelevant to this case. Why bring it up?

Some issues regarding whether she is homeless or not.

Bottom line: She is being charged with stealing $15k from the city for sending her kindergartener to a public school to be educated? WTF???

A parent, who has made poor decisions in her life, trying to take responsibility for educating her kid by sending him to school and she is arrested over potentially sending him to the wrong school?

I wonder.... how much of the taxpayers money is being wasted by arresting her and taking her to court over the issue?
 
good lord...our justice system can be so frickin myopic at times....since she could have used the shelter...just have her use the shelter

It is beyond ridiculous. The FED pays a good portion of the bill and would have paid the exact same amount regardless of which city she sent her kid to. The STATE pays the next largest portion and again, would have paid the same regardless of which city her kid went to school in. Unreal.
 
It's like an episode of the Simpsons...

I don't get it... Of course, vouchers would have allowed her to make that choice without sending her to prison.
