It's mostly because they called "turning them back" at the border "deporting" under Biden, and because there is security at the border many are turning back before they ever reach the border. It's kind of nice, really.

In Phoenix it's been 565 almost all of which aren't "violent criminals." On was a 71 year old illegal who tried to buy a gun three years ago... Maybe he thought that if Hunter Biden can do it, he can too...

I do recall Tom Homan saying that they picked up an illegal in NYC with no criminal record and he was deported…per the law.

It makes sense that when illegals in Mexico see that there is a 90% drop in illegal crossings, they will see that it is futile to try to cross…and turn back.
