Agreed there's the appearance of overreach and it's being resolved in court. It's not the first time a LEO or Prosecutor was overzealous, but the Qless and Trumpers want to dissolve the entire system because of a relatively few instances....most, if not all, of which are resolved in court.

Not a lawyer, but by confiscating anything over $5K by assuming it was ill-gotten gains is pretty thin. If that's all they had on a particular deposit box, then I believe it's bullshit. If the money was tainted with coke, meth or there were other evidence of criminal activity, then I can see why they confiscated it.
