Do you honestly think abortions will stop because a state say no? You do understand that when abortion was illegal in the United States women got illegal abortions anyway. The one thing Roe did was close the unsterile back alley clinics and give women a safe procedure.

Abortions still occurred, but they increased when it became legal. Simple economic principle--if something is illegal it doesn't stop that behavior, but it reduces it. Prohibition, drug use, abortion...

I have to disagree. No one knows how many abortions were performed illegally prior to Roe. So there is no reliable data to support your claim.

The abortion leak voids the bad Roe vs. Wade decision (not a law) and puts this decision back into the hands of the people and the state legislators who are elected by the people.



We are a Constitutional Republic and this shows how we operate in a democratic fashion concerning legislative matters and since the right to an abortion is no longer a Constitutional right (it never was but Roe said it was) we will allow the people of each state and the their legislators to decide.

Or no reliable data to support your claim. You are really saying we don't know. Abortions declined from about 1.6 million in the 1980s to 800,000 today.

The 80's was a decade after Roe. So there is a data trail. Prior to Roe all abortions were illegal so there is no accurate data trail. FYI there were about 600,000 abortions in 2018.

CDC says 600,000 (state reports) and the Guttmacher Institute says 800,000 (abortion providers). I figured they were close enough to use either number.

For the most part, only the morons of the right feel this way. Most people with a functioning brain realize that the true danger facing us is not the price of gasoline or walls being built with Mexican money...but the fact that Republicans and rightists politicians are taking away basic rights and freedoms and destroying the peaceful transfer of power after elections...and the morons of the right are applauding them while they are doing it.
