Not only are food stamps paused, but when they resume, they are coming back with some MAJOR changes.
Here are the facts:
• Able-bodied adults without dependents can only get SNAP for 3 months within 3 years unless they meet work requirements.
• All changes apply to adults 18–64 years old.
• Children over 14 cannot be claimed to receive EBT anymore.
• Able-bodied adults ust work, train, or volunteer at least 80 hours per month (about 20 hours per week) to receive EBT. This includes paid employment, approved job training, community service, or educational programs.
